Buying a good headset significantly expands the functionality of your smartphone and allows you not only to free your hands during a call, but also to enjoy high-quality sound while listening to music. That's why before buying this accessory, you should familiarize yourself with the review of the best models of headphones from firmss Nokia.

Peculiarities

The famous company Nokia was founded in 1865 in the Finnish city of Tampere and was originally engaged in the production of paper. In 1902 the company was redesigned to produce electricity and produce electrical goods. Already in 1922, Nokia became a huge corporation that produced electricity, electronics, plastics, and even weapons.

In the 1980s, consumer electronics and telecommunications became the backbone of the company's business. Nokia mobile phones gained worldwide popularity in the second half of the 80s. In 2013, the mobile division of the firm was acquired by Microsoft. Only in 2017 the Finnish company resumed the production of its own mobile phones and accessories.

Nokia headphones differ from most analogs:

  • high quality - even though most of the production facilities of the Finnish giant were transferred to Asian countries back in the mid-2000s, the legendary quality was almost not affected by this, such accessories will serve you for a long time and faithfully for many years;
  • modern design - due to a long hiatus in the production of mobile phones, the company had to develop most of its models from scratch, thanks to which they all correspond to recent fashion trends;
  • Affordable price - despite the worldwide fame of the brand and a high level of quality, Nokia headphones are cheaper than products of well-known American, Japanese and South Korean companies (but at the same time they are much more expensive than Chinese-made goods);
  • compatibility not only with mobile phones from Nokia and Microsoft, but also with products of other companies;
  • safety - all accessories have safety and quality certificates required for sale in the Russian Federation, USA and EU countries;
  • service availability - the company's representative offices are open in all major cities of the Russian Federation and the CIS countries.

Range

Currently, several models of Nokia headphones and headsets are most popular on the Russian market.

  • WH-510 - simple wired headset with in-ear headphones, button and microphone. Doesn't support volume control.

The cord's heavy-duty braid and tape design eliminate tangles and reduce the risk of damage to the cord near the plug.

  • WH-208 - classic wired in-ear in-ear headphones equipped with a microphone and a multifunction key for use as a headset. Frequency response 20 Hz to 20 kHz. Impedance 32 Ohm. Accessory weight 12 g. Black and white colors are available to choose from. Equipped with a set of 4 interchangeable ear pads of different sizes. The main drawback noted by the authors of the reviews on this model is not enough juicy and loud bass sound, which makes you use the equalizer for comfortable listening to many modern tracks.
  • Nokia Stereo Earphones - a modernized version of the previous model with an updated design (the ear cushions and the body have become more rounded). Differs in impedance reduced to 16 Ohm and adaptation of the multifunction button to work with Google Assistant.

It is completed with a set of 3 interchangeable different-sized ear pads.

  • WH-301 - a sports version of the WH-208 model with an impedance of 16 ohms (which allows them to be used with phones that give out a lower volume level).The main difference between this model is silicone ear cushions, which protect the headphones from sweat getting inside them.
  • WH-920 - wired headset with in-ear headphones. Most of the features are similar to the WH-208. They differ in weight of 18 g, a more convenient control panel and good sound at all frequencies.
  • WH-701 - a sports wired headset with in-ear headphones, a full-fledged multi-button remote control, a sensitive microphone and silicone ear pads, which not only ensure a tight contact of the headphones with the in-ear canal, but also protect them from moisture. It differs from previous models with an increased level of bass sound, making these headphones ideal for listening to jazz, rock and dance electronic music. Comes with two interchangeable ear pads of different sizes. The main drawback of this option is poor compatibility with phones manufactured by other companies (additional buttons on the remote control stop working).
  • AD-43 - Classic wired in-ear headphones with microphone and full-size remote control on the cord.
  • HS-20 - a variant of the previous model with a Pop-Port connector, which is equipped with some relatively old variants of Nokia smartphones (for example, Nokia 3250, E50, and N72).
  • BH-102 - Vintage monaural Bluetooth headset with ear clip. Battery life up to 10 hours.
  • BH-505 - a stereo wireless headset in the form of a bracket for attaching to the back of the head, equipped with two in-ear headphones and a microphone. The bracket also contains control buttons that allow you to adjust the volume, switch tracks and receive calls. The operating time before recharging is up to 12 hours. The rubber finish on the inner surface of the plastic bracket makes this option very comfortable to wear at all times. Equipped with a set of 3 interchangeable different-sized ear pads. The main disadvantage of this design is the impossibility of using it when playing sports, since with active movement the brace often falls off the back of the head. In addition, many review authors note the insufficient moisture resistance of this model.
  • Nokia BH-905 - full-size wireless closed-type headphones with active noise cancellation (8 microphones analyze ambient sounds and remove them from the playing signal). Frequency range - from 15 Hz to 20 kHz (all frequencies in the range are reproduced quite loudly and juicy, making this model ideal for listening to music of any genre). Equipped with a microphone that allows you to use them as a headset. A 3.5 mm jack is provided for connecting a wire. The kit includes 2 cables, a case and 4 adapters, allowing you to connect headphones to audio outputs of almost any format. Operating time without recharging - up to 20 hours. Product weight 175 g.

The main disadvantage of this premium model is that it cannot be folded for transport, which makes it take up a lot of space in the bag.

  • BH-905i - an improved version of the previous model, it differs in a weight reduced to 167 g, an updated design, an expanded configuration and the presence of a mode for amplifying the low-frequency component of the sound.
  • Active Wireless - Bluetooth headset, consisting of 2 in-ear earbuds with magnetic brackets for attaching behind the ear and a cord connecting them, on which the microphone and control panel are located. The frequency range is from 20 Hz to 20 kHz. Battery life - up to 8 hours. Comes with three pairs of different-sized ear pads for moisture protection. The model supports Multipoint technology, which allows you to simultaneously connect to two signal sources (for example, two different smartphones or a smartphone and a laptop). Product weight 16 g.
  • Pro Wireless - differ from the previous model by the presence of a plastic bracket for attaching to the back of the head, on which there are also control buttons. Magnets on the earbuds allow you to automatically drop a call or pause a track when they are connected. DSP and aptX technologies dramatically improve the quality of digital audio playback. The weight of this headset is 45 g.Battery life up to 10 hours.
  • True Wireless Earbuds - a set of 2 independent wireless vacuum headphones weighing 5 grams each. Equipped with 3 pairs of different-sized removable waterproof ear pads and a charging case, using which the battery life can be up to 9 hours. Without recharging in stand-alone mode, the earbuds can work for 3 hours. The model supports the Bluetooth 5.0 protocol and integration with the Google Assistant voice assistant.
  • Power earbuds - An upgraded version of the previous model, featuring a unique charging case, the use of which allows you to increase the battery life of the headset up to 150 hours. Without using a case, the headphones work autonomously for up to 5 hours. The IPX7 waterproof rating allows you to use the headset in the rain without the risk of breaking it or submerge it under water to a depth of 1 meter for half an hour.

This model is one of the few serial headsets that use graphene membranes. Due to this technical solution, it was possible to significantly reduce the battery consumption and improve the quality of the sound reproduced by the headphones.

How to connect?

To connect wired headsets, it is enough to plug their plug into the corresponding socket of the mobile phone (in most cases, this is a 3.5 mm audio output) and adjust the volume level. In order to connect a wireless headset to a smartphone, you need to follow the sequence of steps outlined in the instructions for its operation. In most cases, the general procedure will be as follows:

  • if there is a multifunctional key on the headset, press and hold it for 3 seconds until the green indicator of the device turns on;
  • go to the settings menu of your smartphone;
  • go to the Bluetooth section (on Apple technology) or open the "Wireless & networks" section and enter the Bluetooth section (on smartphones with Android OS);
  • after waiting for the end of the auto search for devices, select the headset from the list of detected signal sources (usually called Nokia Bluetooth, but the device model may be indicated instead;
  • enter the PIN-code set on the headphones (if you have not changed it, then by default it is "0000");
  • once the connection is complete, you can use the headset.
