If you want to buy not just beautiful wallpaper for the walls, but also a high-quality, durable product, then you should understand the classification of wallpaper:

• By the type of surface, they can be divided into two groups: smooth and textured (with embossing, small cut pattern, pasted pattern or any other relief).
• By the number of layers - single-layer and multi-layer.
• According to the degree of gloss - matte and glossy. Gloss can be negligible or highly reflective.
• By the density of canvases: light with a density of less than 110 g / m2 (most often single-layer), medium (110-140 g / m2) and heavy with a weight of more than 140 g per 1 m2 (thick multilayer).

• According to moisture resistance, wallpaper is divided into:
  • ordinary, not tolerant of contact with moisture;
  • moisture resistant with a special moisture protective layer. They can be wiped clean with a damp cloth;
  • washable, cleanable with various cleaning solutions. Also stand out super-washable wallpapers, which can be treated even with powders with abrasive particles and brushes.

It depends on the material how the wallpaper will stick, hold, look over time:

• Paper wallpaper are the most budgetary of those presented in stores. Moreover, they have a huge selection of colors and shades, they even meet with a relief surface. There are two types: simplex (single layer) and duplex (double layer)

• Non-woven wallpaper... They are made on the basis of non-woven material with natural or synthetic fibers - interlining. The lower the density of such wallpapers, the more they stretch. This is an important aspect when carrying out repairs.

• Vinyl wallpapers are made by applying foamed vinyl on a paper or non-woven base. There are products that are both smooth and with large embossing. Decorations with large ornaments will look good in the hall of a country house with a high ceiling.

• Fabric wallpaper are obtained by applying a layer of fabric to a layer of paper or non-woven fabric. Due to the use of different types of fabrics, such as silk, viscose, linen, cotton and others, they can have a smooth, embossed and silky structure.

• Technique for creating acrylic wallpaper similar to vinyl. Acrylic is applied only to the paper or non-woven layer. But it cannot cover the entire surface of the base, so the texture of the wallpaper is only embossed.

• The world's most popular liquid wallpaper are just starting their way in the market of our country. It is a mixture of glue and various fibers with additives, which must be applied to the walls with a spatula.

• Glass fiber are created by interweaving fiberglass in the form of different ornaments. They are very durable, so it is beneficial to use them in new homes: when shrinking, you can not be afraid of cracks and tears on such material. To obtain different shades, they are covered with paint.

• Wallpaper from natural materials... In their manufacture, cork veneer, bamboo or metal foil with various patterns are used.

In Russian stores, wallpapers with a width of two sizes are presented:

• half-meter (mostly cheaper wallpapers are in this category).Their width is 53 cm with slight deviations;

• meter (it is faster to glue them on the wall).

The length of wallpaper in a roll is customary for a Russian buyer - 10 meters.

Sizes differ depending on the material. Paper wallpapers are standard half-meter and meter-long, in a roll of ten meters. Non-woven fabrics have roll lengths up to 25 meters. Acrylic and vinyl wallpapers are made in widths and 70 cm with a standard ten-meter length.
