Bosch drill sets
Modern instruments are multifunctional due to the many additional elements. For example, one drill can make different holes due to the variety of the drill set.
Characteristic features and types
With a drill, you can not only prepare a new hole, but also change the dimensions of the existing one. If the material of the drills is solid and of high quality, then the product can be used to work with the most complex foundations:
- steel;
- concrete;
- stone.
A set of Bosch drills includes various attachments that are suitable not only for hand drills, but also hammer drills and other machines. Details differ in shape, and, accordingly, in purpose. For example, drills for metal are spiral, conical, crown, stepped. They can process plastic or wood.
Concrete drills are suitable for processing stone and brick. They are:
- spiral;
- screw;
- crown-shaped.
The nozzles are distinguished by special soldering, which makes it easier to penetrate hard rocks. Good quality solders are victory plates or faux diamond crystals.
Wood drills can be distinguished as a separate item, since there are several special attachments that are suitable for fine processing of the material. Special types include:
- feathers;
- ring;
- ballerinas;
- forstner.
There are other rarely used products that are used for glass processing.
Ceramic surfaces can also be treated with such attachments. These drills are called “crowns” and are specially coated.
It is also considered diamond, since it includes small grains of artificial material. The crowns are suitable for special drilling machines.
Technical specifications
The company is the largest manufacturer of various tools.
The drills of the German company are distinguished by their exceptional functionality, convenience and productivity. Models are divided into household and professional ones, they are on sale with bits, in a case.
For example, Bosch 2607017316 set, consisting of 41 pieces, suitable for DIY use. The set includes 20 different attachments, among which there are for working on metal, wood, concrete. The drills can make holes from 2 to 8 mm. The bits are equipped with a cylindrically correct shank, thanks to which they perfectly adhere to the base of the drill.
Set includes 11 bits and 6 socket bits. All of them are packed, each in its own place, in a convenient plastic case. The complete set additionally includes a magnetic holder, an angle screwdriver, a countersink.
Another popular set Bosch 2607017314 includes 48 items. It is also suitable for home use, includes 23 bits, 17 drills. Products are suitable for processing wood, metal, stone. The diameter of the products varies from 3 to 8 mm, so the set can be called multifunctional.
Also included are socket heads, magnetic holder, telescopic probe. Despite the large number of products, these sets are sold at a very affordable price - from 1,500 rubles.
If versatility is not necessary, you can take a closer look at quality rotary hammer drills. SDS-plus-5X Bosch 2608833910 is suitable for preparing holes in concrete, masonry and other particularly strong substrates.
SDS-plus is a special type of fastening for these products. The diameter of the shanks is 10 mm, it is inserted by 40 mm into the chuck of the hammer drill. The bits also have a centering point for precise drilling.This prevents jamming in the fittings and ensures good removal of drilling dust.
Manufacturing materials
Bosch is a European company, therefore, the marking of manufactured products complies with the following standards:
- HSS;
- HSSCo.
The first option complies with the Russian standard P6M5, and the second - P6M5K5.
R6M5 is a household special cutting steel with a hardness of 255 MPa. Usually, all threading power tools, including metal drills, are made from this brand.
R6M5K5 is also a cutting special steel for the production of power tools, but with a strength of 269 MPa. As a rule, metal-cutting tools are made from it. It allows the processing of high-strength stainless and heat-resistant substrates.
If the following letters are found in the abbreviation of designations, then they mean the addition of the corresponding materials:
- K - cobalt;
- F - vanadium;
- M is molybdenum;
- P - tungsten.
As a rule, the content of chromium and carbon is not indicated in the marking, since the inclusion of these bases is stable. And vanadium is indicated only if its content is more than 3%.
In addition, the addition of certain materials gives the drills a specific color. For example, in the presence of cobalt, the bits become yellowish, sometimes even brownish, and the black color indicates that the drill was made from ordinary tool steel, which is not of high quality.
