Prorab walk-behind tractors: model characteristics
It is very difficult to cultivate a personal plot of land, be it a summer cottage or a garden, without a walk-behind tractor. But the right choice of brand and model is of great importance.
It is worth considering in detail one of the options - Prorab walk-behind tractors.
Features, advantages and disadvantages
Prorab walk-behind tractors entered the Russian market in 2005. Their manufacturer produces many hundreds of varieties of tools and implements not only for agriculture, but also for construction and repair. The equipment supplied under this brand belongs to the amateur category. Judging by the reviews, it is most often used in small farming enterprises. Farmers consider the main advantage of such mini-tractors to be the ideal proportion of cost and quality.
Motoblocks are distinguished by the following features:
- simplicity of the device;
- economical service;
- reliability even in rather harsh conditions.
The developers have tried to make their products suitable for work in different seasons. The capacity of the cultivation equipment varies from 2.2 to 13 liters. with. Motoblocks are capable of running on diesel, gasoline, there are also options with electric motors... Transmissions are designed in such a way that the clutch can set the maximum speed range. Due to the increased wall thickness of the gearbox compared to competitors, its reliability and service life are increased.
Some Prorab models are equipped with electric starters. And also the transmission of force in individual walk-behind tractors is carried out by Japanese drive belts. First-class springy steel is used in the production of tillage mills. Motoblocks are compatible not only with cutters, but also with a wide range of other equipment.
Regardless of which components are attached, large pneumatic wheels keep the unit stable on the move, and its small size allows it to operate confidently in confined areas.
Models
Motoblocks with a gasoline engine are mostly used to solve narrow or multiple tasks. The GT22 version is very light (no more than 15 kg), but it is capable of developing a maximum power of 2.2 liters. with., therefore, it is possible to use this walk-behind tractor only with surface tillage.
Additional equipment cannot be used.
The 40T and 55T models fall into the middle gasoline group. Their power ranges from 4 to 5.5 liters. with. The cultivation strip varies from 38 to 85 cm. The depth of the implements can reach 20–33 cm. A gearbox is installed.
The series "700" has become widespread. This includes the GT 700 SK and its derivatives. The common features are as follows:
- power 7 liters. with.;
- 2 forward speeds;
- 1 reverse speed;
- cutters from 6 sections;
- large pneumatic wheels;
- agricultural tread.
But there are, of course, differences, which are as follows:
- engine supplier;
- the depth to which the land is cultivated;
- the captured strip of soil.
The heavy class includes versions GT 732 SK, GT 742 SK... Such motoblocks are equipped with a 3-speed gearbox (1 rear). They can be used on plots up to 2 hectares inclusive.
Unit power GT 732 SK is 9 liters. with., and at GT 742 SK it reaches 13 liters. with. Accordingly, the depth of cultivation is 3 times greater, even despite the difference in the width of the captured strip (105 and 135 cm).
Among diesel vehicles, stand out GT 80 RDK (there are also versions 100 and 120 with the same letter index).
These are extremely powerful professional-grade walk-behind tractors, suitable even for moving loads. Depending on the nuances of the design, the blocks are equipped with manual and electric starters.
Model GT 701 SK equipped with a 7 liter gasoline engine. with. It ensures successful cultivation of up to 1 hectare of land. The single cylinder of the engine operates in a four-stroke mode, conserving fuel as much as possible. The walk-behind tractor of this version maneuvers well both on firm ground and in the middle of weeds.
As a result, it is very good for planting and harvesting.
Its advantages are the following:
- 3 positions in the checkpoint;
- starter resistant to low and high temperatures;
- gear type reducer;
- 24 milling knives;
- reliable cover for operators with wheel arch liners.
Deserves attention and version GT 709 SK... The gasoline engine of this walk-behind tractor produces 7 liters. with., consuming 2 liters of fuel per hour. The highest speed can reach 12 km / h. Slipping on wet soil is excluded, even without additional lugs. Thanks to the power take-off pulley, the device can be equipped with carts, trailers, and active adapters. The tank can be filled with up to 6 liters of gasoline, which allows you to work calmly even with a large strip of land. The noise is relatively weak when compared to other versions.
If you need to choose a walk-behind tractor of a household category, it is more useful to pay attention to GT 65 HBW... The device perfectly shows itself both on virgin lands, and on lands overgrown with wild vegetation. It is very easy to ensure safety while following basic rules. The mechanized transmission of this model has 3 operating modes. The walk-behind tractor is compatible with a wide range of mounted equipment. The designers also took care of the corrosion resistance of the case. The engine is hidden behind it, confidently delivering 6.5 liters. with.
Quite good results, however, are also demonstrated by GT 712 SK... A similar walk-behind tractor can handle strips up to 75 cm wide. The merit in this belongs to a four-stroke engine with a capacity of 7 liters. with. The designers have provided for the PTO, which can significantly expand the functionality of the unit. In comparison, the GT 710 SK can cover strips up to 80 cm wide in 1 pass at the same power. Power transmission from the four-stroke engine takes place through a belt pulley.
To control the device, a stepped manual transmission is provided.
GT 733 SKhowever, it shows itself no worse. The impulse is applied to the wheels or the power take-off shaft by means of a belt pulley. 9 hp engine with. drives cutters with a diameter of 300 cm. It has only 1 cylinder.
GT 604 VDK - this is already a diesel walk-behind tractor with a total capacity of 6 liters. with., capable of processing a strip of land from 80 to 110 cm wide. The block engine is powered by direct fuel injection. The drive is made on the basis of gears.
GT 743 SK - This is a very powerful gasoline engine that creates an effort of up to 13 liters. with. The engine started with a recoil starter is air-cooled and can transmit impulse to mounted and trailed machines, including mowers.
GT 750 SK belongs to the middle class of motoblocks, has excellent cross-country ability. Since the device is heavy (100 kg), it can be used without lugs.
Specifications
When choosing a diesel walk-behind tractor, you must first of all pay attention to its power. If it should be 9 liters. with., you need to give preference to the GT 606 VDKE. This device is started with electric or manual starters equally efficiently, operates at 2 forward and 1 reverse speeds. But you can also consider the option 905 VDKE.
There are no diesel motoblocks for 7 horsepower in the line of this manufacturer. But there is a suitable petrol modification - GT 716 SK. A more powerful version (13 HP) - GT 746 SK. The single cylinder operates in a four-stroke mode. Motoblocks with a capacity of 10 liters. with. Prorab does not produce, the hexagon shaft diameter for the GT 90 VDKE and GT 72 SK is 3.2 cm.
Equipment
Together with any model, at the request of the customer, the following elements are installed:
- lugs;
- wheel axle extension devices;
- double-row and ordinary hillers;
- potato diggers;
- plows;
- "Ural" and flap cutters;
- couplings;
- harrows;
- rotary mowers;
- snow plow attachments.
Operation and care
Whatever model of the walk-behind tractor was purchased, for what it was used, you may encounter situations when the device shoots at the muffler. At the same time, the motor stalls.
If the cause is an excess of oil in the fuel mixture, the following should be followed:
- pour out the remaining fuel;
- wash the pump and hoses;
- pour in a new portion of fuel with a small amount of oil.
Sometimes "shots" are caused by the slow firing of the ignition coil. The only solution is to set the correct electrode gap. The worst is when the fuel is not burned completely. In this case, you will have to disassemble the piston group, and rinse the cylinder and then dry it. Next, a new carburetor setting is required.
A sudden drop in engine performance is often caused by storing a walk-behind tractor with a wet carburetor. Usually, when the engine is idling for a while, the accumulated sediment will evaporate and normal operation will be restored... But before that you need to clean the carburetor and gasoline hose, as well as cylinder and muffler.
At the very beginning of operation, in order to avoid various problems, you need to properly run in the walk-behind tractor. The same procedure is required after major repairs.
It is possible to run in the walk-behind tractor only after thoroughly checking the bolts, refueling the engine with fuel, lubricant and coolant.... When the running-in is over, all elements are checked, and if necessary, they are serviced. During daily operation, it is necessary to systematically assess the condition of the bearings and seals. Any drive, any axis changes even with a slight deviation from the norm.
To start a walk-behind tractor that you just bought, you need to assess whether there is enough oil. This procedure is carried out even when buying in a reputable, well-established store. Lack of lubrication will almost inevitably result in engine damage.... The oil needs to be changed more often before it deteriorates.
Motoblocks must be started in different ways, depending on whether a gasoline or diesel engine is installed on them. More detailed recommendations are contained in the instructions.
Prorab can be fitted with release bearings from Moskvich or VAZ of early models.
Optional equipment
Of the attachment parts, in addition to the plow mount, the overwhelming majority of farmers need equipment such as:
- trailers;
- hillers;
- adapters;
- couplings;
- lugs.
Selection Tips
Potential owners need to take into account a number of subtleties and nuances when choosing Prorab walk-behind tractors. Top choices in individual ratings include the 100 HBW. But you can use any other device from the models described above without any problems.
In order not to be mistaken, it is advised to adhere to the following tips:
- take into account the width and depth of plowing;
- choose more powerful models for the transportation of goods;
- do not buy walk-behind tractors with functions that are obviously not needed;
- take into account which fuel will be most readily available in a particular location.
