Among the series of Husqvarna walk-behind tractors, you should pay attention to the following models:

  • Husqvarna TF 338 - the walk-behind tractor is adapted to work on areas up to 100 acres. Equipped with a 6 hp engine. with. Thanks to its 93 kg weight, it facilitates work without the use of weights. To protect against any mechanical influences, a bumper is installed in the front of the walk-behind tractor. To protect the engine and the operator of the walk-behind tractor from flying away clods of earth, screens are installed above the wheels. Together with the walk-behind tractor, 8 milling cutters are supplied for balling the soil.
  • Husqvarna TF 434P - adapted to work on difficult soils and large areas. This model is distinguished by reliable fasteners and main assemblies, thereby increasing the service life. Good performance and maneuverability are achieved through the use of a 3-speed gearbox (2 forward and 1 reverse). Despite the low weight of 59 kg, this unit is able to cultivate the soil to a depth of 300 mm, thereby providing a high-quality loosened soil.
  • Husqvarna TF 545P - a powerful device for working with large areas, as well as areas of complex shapes. With the help of the system of easy starting and clutch engagement using pneumatics, work with this device has become easier in comparison with other walk-behind tractors. Due to the air filter "in an oil bath", the service interval is increased. Equipped with a set of wheels, with the help of which it is possible to use additional equipment or move the unit in a more efficient and easy way. It has 6 gears - four forward and two reverse, a useful function in case of problems with the movement of cutters during work.

Device

The device of the walk-behind tractor is as follows: 1 - Engine, 2 - Foot cover, 3 - Handle, 4 - Extension cover, 5 - Knives, 6 - Opener, 7 - Upper protective cover, 8 - Shift lever, 9 - Bumper, 10 - Control clutch, 11 - Throttle handle, 12 - Reverse control, 13 - Side cover, 14 - Lower protective cover.

Attachments

With the help of attachments, you can not only speed up the time of work on your site, but also carry out various types of work very easily. There are such types of equipment for Husqvarna walk-behind tractors.

  • Hiller - with this device, furrows can be made in the soil, which can later be used for planting various crops or for irrigation.
  • Potato Digger - Helps harvest different root crops by separating them from the ground and keeping them intact.
  • Plow - you can use it to plow the soil. The use is advisable in those places where the cutters did not cope, or in the case of cultivation of unplowed lands.
  • Lugs are used instead of wheels to improve traction by cutting the blades into the ground, thereby moving the device forward.
  • Wheels - come complete with the device, suitable for driving on hard ground or asphalt, in the case of driving on snow, it is recommended to use tracks that are installed instead of wheels, thereby increasing the contact patch of the walk-behind tractor with the surface.
  • Adapter - thanks to it, the walk-behind tractor can be transformed into a mini-tractor, where the operator can work while sitting.
  • Milling cutters - used for balling the earth of almost any complexity.
  • Mowers - Rotary mowers operate with three rotating blades to cut grass on sloping surfaces. There are also segmental mowers, consisting of two rows of sharp "teeth" moving in a horizontal plane, they can cut even dense plant species, but only on a flat surface.
  • Snow plow attachments are a practical addition to snow removal.
  • An alternative to this can be a device - a shovel blade. Due to the angled sheet of metal, it can rake snow, sand, fine gravel and other loose materials.
  • Trailer - allows the walk-behind tractor to turn into a vehicle carrying loads weighing up to 500 kg.
  • Weights - add weight to the implement which aids in cultivation and saves operator effort.

User manual

The operating manual is included in the kit for each walk-behind tractor and contains the following standards.

General norms

Before using the tool, familiarize yourself with the rules of operation and controls. When using the unit, follow the recommendations in this operating manual. The use of the unit by persons who are not familiar with these instructions, and children are strongly discouraged. It is not recommended to carry out work at a time when there are bystanders within a radius of 20 meters from the device. The operator must keep the machine under control during all work. When working with hard types of soil, remain vigilant, as the walk-behind tractor has the least stability compared to already treated soils.

Preparation for work

Examine the area where you will be working and remove any visible non-soil objects as they may be thrown away by the working tool. Before using the unit, each time it is worth inspecting the equipment for damage or tool wear. If you find worn or damaged parts, replace them. Inspect the device for fuel or oil leaks. It is not recommended to use the device without covers or protective elements. Check the tightness of the connectors.

Operation of the device

Follow the manufacturer's instructions to start the engine and keep your feet at a safe distance from the cutters. Stop the engine when the equipment is not in use. Maintain concentration when moving the machine towards you or when changing the direction of rotation. Be careful - the engine and exhaust system become very hot during operation, there is a risk of burns if touched.

In case of suspicious vibration, blockage, difficulties with engaging and disengaging the clutch, collision with a foreign object, wear and tear of the engine stop cable, it is recommended to immediately stop the engine. Wait until the engine has cooled down, disconnect the spark plug wire, inspect the unit and have a Husqvarna workshop carry out the necessary repairs. Use the device in daylight or good artificial light.

Maintenance and storage

Stop engine before cleaning, inspecting, adjusting, or servicing equipment or changing tools. Stop engine and wear strong gloves before changing attachments. To ensure safety when using the device, observe the tightness of all bolts and nuts. To reduce the risk of fire, keep plants, waste oil and other flammable materials away from the engine, muffler and fuel storage area. Allow the engine to cool down before storing the unit. When the engine is hard to start or does not start at all, one of the problems is possible:

  • oxidation of contacts;
  • violation of wire insulation;
  • water entering the fuel or oil;
  • blockage of the carburetor jets;
  • low oil level;
  • poor fuel quality;
  • malfunctions of the ignition system (weak spark from the spark plug, contamination on the spark plugs, low compression ratio in the cylinder);
  • pollution of the exhaust system with combustion products.

To maintain the performance of the walk-behind tractor, you should adhere to the following recommendations.

Daily check:

  • loosening, breaking off nuts and bolts;
  • the cleanliness of the air filter (if it is dirty, clean it);
  • oil level;
  • no oil or gasoline leaks;
  • good quality fuel;
  • instrument cleanliness;
  • no unusual vibration or excessive noise.

Change the engine and gearbox oil once a month. Every three months - clean the air filter. Every 6 months - Clean the fuel filter, change the engine and gear oil, clean the spark plug, clean the spark plug cap. Once a year - change the air filter, check the valve clearance, replace the spark plug, clean the fuel filter, clean the combustion chamber, check the fuel circuit.
