Features of Czech mini tractors
Czech mini tractors are a popular type of small agricultural machinery. They are widely used for a wide range of agricultural and communal tasks. The high demand for equipment is due to its reliability, versatility and long service life.
A bit of history
The production of Czechoslovak mini-tractors exported to the USSR was carried out by the Agrostroj plant, whose production facilities were located in Prostejov. The earliest model of the company was the TZ-4K 10 modification., which had an elongated base, a body with a length of 2 m and a Slavia 1D-80 engine with a capacity of 9 liters. with. Then a 12-horsepower diesel engine with an air cooling system of the 1D-90TA brand was installed on the tractors, capable of starting both with an electric starter and by a manual method.
The latest models of equipment were equipped with a more powerful engine of the Slavia 1D90 brand with a capacity of 14 liters. with.
The running gear and chassis also underwent some changes over time, as a result of which the base was shortened, the body was modified, and a hydraulic trailer appeared. The model was named TZ-4K 14. It was produced until the end of production.
For the first time, Czech technology appeared in the USSR on the eve of the Moscow Olympics. Then it was used to work at sports facilities. The units fell in love with Soviet specialists and began to be actively purchased by agricultural enterprises and public utilities.
The production of mini-tractors ceased in the mid-90s of the last century., however, thanks to the highest quality and a very successful design, a large number of long-lived units are still operating in the territory of the post-Soviet countries.
The TZ-4K 14 model was taken as a basis for the development of a domestic version, and at the end of the 80s the first prototypes under the name MA-6210 rolled off the assembly line of the Tallex enterprise. However, the technique was produced in very limited quantities, and after well-known events its production was completely discontinued.
Device and purpose
Since the earliest modification of the Czech TZ-4K 10 unit was not exported to the Soviet Union, but only the TZ-4K 14 has received popular recognition, then an overview of the design features of Czech technology will be appropriate to consider using its example.
So, the TZ-4K 14 mini-tractor is a motorized self-propelled vehicle equipped with an internal combustion engine, transmission and chassis. The model is equipped with a single-cylinder two-stroke air-cooled diesel engine, capable of operating in any climatic conditions without the risk of overheating. This is due to its small size, which makes it possible to do without water cooling.
As noted above, the unit is equipped with two ignition systems (manual and electric), which makes starting the engine possible under any circumstances.
The gearbox of the mini-tractor has 4 reverse gears. Both axles are equipped with a differential, and on the front axle it is equipped with a locking function. The model is made in an all-wheel drive version, and the axles are interconnected by a swivel sleeve. This allows them to turn 45 degrees relative to each other when the vehicle turns. Thanks to this design, the turning radius of the tractor is only 190 cm, which is why the model shows wonders of maneuverability in tight spaces, and the special fork design allows the axles to be lowered and raised at an angle of up to 11 degrees.
Moreover, the front and rear track widths are adjustable and can vary from 70 to 100 cm. To increase the track width, loosen the nuts on the cast-iron hub, and then move it to the final position on the axle shaft... Machine brakes are represented by two independent braking systems - front hand brakes and rear foot brakes. The clutch of the mini-tractor has a dry single-disc design and is activated using the left pedal.
The scope of use of Czech mini-tractors is quite wide.
The technique is successfully used in a wide range of agricultural work, such as harrowing, plowing, loosening, weeding, weeding and furrowing. The units are used for planting and harvesting potatoes, fertilizing and sowing grain, as well as for transporting goods weighing up to 1500 kg, removing garbage and snow.
The versatility of tractors is due to the compatibility of machines with any type of attachments and trailers, as well as their maneuverability and high cross-country ability.
Advantages and disadvantages
The enduring interest of Russian consumers in technology from the Czech Republic is due to a number of its important advantages.
- Excellent maintainability and high reliability. Despite the fact that the "youngest" model of Czech production is already more than 20 years old, the units are quite efficient and highly appreciated by farmers and public utilities.
- The small turning radius allows for soil cultivation in large greenhouses and greenhouses, as well as in small summer cottages, without the risk of damaging neighboring plants.
- Excellent traction and coupling characteristics make it possible to tow tractor trailers in conditions of clay soils and off-road conditions.
- Due to the ability of tractors to be aggregated with many types of agricultural implements, Czech models effectively replace seeders, tillers, snow blowers and loaders.
- The presence of lighting and signaling equipment allows you to operate the mini-tractor at any time of the day.
- Low, in comparison with analogues, the cost is explained by the presence on the domestic market of exclusively second-hand samples, the price of which varies from 65 to 220 thousand rubles.
- The operator's seat is designed to be as smart as possible, so that it can be easily operated for extended periods of time. The control levers are also very conveniently located, literally at hand.
Specifications
Czechoslovak mini tractor TZ-4K-14 belongs to the class of small agricultural machinery and weighs 870 kg. At the same time, the length of the unit is 2.75 m, the width is 1.17 m, and the height reaches 1.3 m. Optimum working forward speed - 16.5 km / h, which is a high figure for cars in this category. This allows you to quickly deliver goods not only within the territory of the personal plot, but also outside it. The maximum rear speed is 12.7 km / h.
The ground clearance height varies from 35 to 37 cm. The size of both the front and rear wheels is 4.00x16. The machine is equipped with an engine with a volume of 660 cm³ and a fuel tank with a capacity of 11 liters. The piston stroke is 104 mm, the cylinder diameter is 90 mm, and the shaft rotation speed is 2200 rpm.
Attachment types
Czech models are able to work with almost all types of additional equipment developed for other models of mini-tractors. However, these accessories are not included in the basic equipment of the units and must be purchased separately.
Below are the most "popular" of them.
- Single axle tractor trailer, capable of carrying loads weighing up to 1.2 tons, is equipped with a removable rear wall. This greatly facilitates the unloading of bulk materials and root crops.
- Mower allows for hay harvesting, weed control and lawn mowing.
- Dozer blade with a width of up to 100 cm and a rotation angle of 45 degrees, it makes it possible to qualitatively clean the area from snowdrifts, fallen leaves and small mechanical debris.
- Plow allows for deep plowing of fields, as well as the cultivation of virgin and fallow lands. The single-hull reversible model PON-25 is well suited to Czech units, which allows you to go 21 cm deep into the ground and at the same time capture a strip 25 cm wide.
- Ripper allows you to perform high-quality processing of fruit tree rows, as well as prune and remove weeds from the soil.
Service
Czechoslovak mini-tractors are quite unpretentious and do not require expensive maintenance. However, given that the average age of models is over 20 years old, special attention should be paid to regular maintenance, which is recommended every 200 hours of operation... So, it is necessary to inspect the equipment weekly and remove carbon deposits from the exhaust pipe.
You also need to monitor the condition of the fuel filter, and, if necessary, replace it in time. In addition, it is necessary to regularly change the oil in the transmission system and tighten the block head bolts.
Every 1000 hours of operation, the bearing clearances should be checked, the piston rings cleaned or replaced, and the clutch should be monitored and adjusted if necessary.
With intensive use of equipment, it is necessary to monitor the condition of the tread of the tires, to change their places for more even wear. Strict adherence to the recommendations for maintenance and operating instructions will ensure trouble-free operation of the mini-tractor, and also significantly extend its service life.
In the next video, you will find recommendations for setting up the lubrication pump of the TZ-4K 14 mini tractor.
