Raspberry Rhino

The efforts of modern breeders are aimed at creating varieties of berry crops with a long fruiting period - remontants. They fell in love with gardeners not only for the opportunity to feast on berries all season, but also for the ease of care and strong immunity. To stimulate the growth of shoots of the current season, raspberries Rhinoceros are recommended to be fed with mullein infusion - 1 part to 10 parts of water. The dose per plant is 10 liters, the frequency of fertilizing:

• in the spring after the snow melts;

• after trimming and shaping;

• during flowering.

Caring for the variety consists in regularly removing weeds and excess root growth, loosening the soil and mulching.

Rapid growth and abundant fruiting of raspberries can be achieved by planting the crop in a place that is constantly illuminated by the sun and protected from the winds, but not near tall trees or buildings that shade the area with raspberries in summer. The Repaired Rhino will show its best qualities on fertile, light, organic-rich, neutral soil. Heavy, waterlogged and acidic soils are not suitable for growing raspberries. If there is no choice, you will have to take measures to improve the soil on the site for planting raspberries:

• on acidic soils, neutralization is carried out by introducing chalk or dolomite flour, the application rate is 2 kg per 6 m2;

• on low-lying areas, raised ridges from 30 to 35 cm high are arranged.

Pruning is an important technique for maintaining the health of the raspberry plant and increasing the yield of the crop. Experts recommend double pruning the Raspberry Rhino. In early spring and before the onset of cold weather, sanitary pruning is performed, in which diseased, broken, thickening and weak shoots are removed. After 2 years of growth and fruiting, raspberry bushes are cut in the fall to ground level. The task of spring pruning is to control the density of plantings; in thickened plantings, fungal diseases may appear and a lack of nutrients necessary for the successful growth and fruiting of plants is formed.

The Rhino variety reproduces well with green and root cuttings, root shoots. The latter method is fast and effective. Upon reaching 10 cm in height, the offspring is separated from the mother plant with a clod of earth and transferred to a previously prepared area with holes or trenches filled with a fertile soil mixture mixed with fertilizers.
