If onions are grown from seeds, then this should be done through seedlings. Usually this method is relevant when cultivated in a temperate climate zone in March-April. Planting seedlings in open ground is carried out in May-June according to the scheme 7-10x50-60 cm.

When growing seedlings, prepare transparent containers, drain, fill the cups with non-acidic, light, nutritious soil and lay out the seeds without deepening, sprinkle with earth on top and compact a little. Further, the planting site must be well watered with warm water. After five days, the seeds are re-moistened and removed under a film before germination.
