The name of the vintage style comes from winemaking, and seemingly has nothing to do with interior design. Nevertheless, it stuck and is now associated precisely with the objects of the past century and the design of the premises. It is worth paying attention to the following main features of the vintage style:

• the main task of the style is a harmonious combination of objects of recent antiquity, decorative elements and modern technologies; the style has a lot in common with Provence and retro, but its difference lies in the fact that antique items should not be older than the 19th century; things, furniture, do not have to be real antiques, they can be artificially aged and get the same comfort with a touch of romance and cute antiquity;
• vintage items are considered to be at least 40-50 years old, but still the ideal vintage is the items of the last century;
• vintage style in the interior requires an impeccable sense of style in order to maintain a delicate balance between antiquity and modernity, past and present; it is important to correctly place noble antiquity in the interior space so that it does not look like an antique shop, where all epochs and historical trends are collected in showcases;
• vintage style is simplicity, severity and brevity of lines, lack of ostentatious luxury and abundance;
• when placing objects of a bygone era, one of the main rules should be followed - symmetry in decor and furniture; it is considered an ideal achievement if the symmetrical decor serves as a visual continuation of the furniture;
• vintage furniture - curved carved legs, wavy lines, volumetric details;
• color palette - light colors, starting with white and its shades: beige, caramel; of course, one cannot do without the color of a noble wood;
• natural materials are used in the decoration, but stylization for them is allowed;
• the obligatory presence of objects of the past century, aged by time or by the skillful hand of the master;
• in textiles, preference is given to volumetric shapes, tassels, fringes and other decorative finishes;
