There can be a lot of projects and ideas for decorating a five-room apartment. But not all of them are created equal. You must be able to choose and form a suitable scheme for home improvement.

A five-room apartment is wonderful because it allows you to choose a variety of interior design options. For 2-3 adults, the ideal solution is a radical redevelopment and demolition of partitions. Then an impressive square appears, where it is easy to embody the most original ideas. But this is not necessary - after all, in the case of a 5-room apartment, you can simply try to use the advantages of the existing layout as efficiently as possible.

It is customary to allocate not only a sanitary unit and an entrance hall to the common area, but also a kitchen. Whether to include the living room here as well - you need to decide for yourself. Zones of a personal nature, that is, the nursery and the bedroom, should be placed as far away from each other as possible. If the corridor is spacious, a dressing room is placed in it. The less they deviate from the original layout of the apartment during repairs, the better.

And it's not just additional costs or technical difficulties. The more global the alteration, the stricter the control from the side of state bodies. Often too radical repair plans may not be agreed upon. It is imperative to remember that all movement of people around the apartment should take place as freely as possible and with a minimum of mutual interference.

Even in a five-room apartment, the kitchen will play a huge role. And it is precisely on its decoration that you need to pay maximum attention. The combined living-kitchen-dining area is no different in this regard, it is also demanding in design. To calmly get together and have a good time, you can choose the style of modern minimalism with bright red or harmonious green solutions.

The "red" scheme will delight those who want to stand out and get a boost of vivacity. The optimal version of it, according to the designers, includes a combination of red with black and white colors. It is almost impossible to get bored in such a room, it adds vigor by its very appearance.

But for young families and people who are simply tired at work, it is advisable to choose a calmer version, with inserts of a light green color... In this case, the main ones can be unsaturated brown, pale white and contrasting black tones. Of course, in both versions of the modern style, glass, shiny metal and plastic elements are most appropriate.

The situation is different in the classic interior. It means:

• rectangular and square light wood cabinets;

• the same (or, conversely, dark) shelves;

• wooden tables surrounded by chairs with soft fabric upholstery;

• low chandeliers with glass hanging elements;

• curtains made of opaque or translucent fabric;

• multi-colored or just bright pillows.

Quite little attention is paid to this moment in the design of five-room apartments - and completely in vain. It is important not only to “use the maximum amount of fixtures”, but also to arrange them correctly. Thinking over the lighting concept, they divide it into three main segments at once:

• general;
• directed to the working area;
• used for decorative purposes only.

General lighting is mainly provided by chandeliers with several lamps under the ceiling. They are complemented by a lampshade made of fine textiles or glass. Attention: when choosing a ceiling lamp, you need to make sure that it shines softly and does not cast shadows or glare. In working areas you can use:

• table lamps and sconces;

• floor lamps;

• point light sources;

• chandeliers with a narrow beam of light.

Local light must necessarily be brighter than the general one, since it is designed to provide a comfortable perception of the work surface and everything that surrounds it. In kitchens, the worktop and the table at which they eat are illuminated. But the backlighting of the bar is rarely practiced. They can also illuminate desks, reading chairs, headboards. If there is a computer desk, it must be illuminated.

After the formation of general and working lighting, you can take on its decorative components. The best option is an LED strip. It is capable of changing color, no less pleasant is the fact that such a light source is easily placed in a variety of places. In the kitchen, decorative lighting is most often realized on the base of the headset. But at the same time it is necessary to carefully avoid the appearance of shadows in the working area.

Sconces are used only in classic interiors. Moreover, many designers believe that such lighting devices will soon be out of circulation altogether. Placing them above the beds is not very functional. But the soft-light lamp on the bedside table is a completely different matter. We must not forget about nightlights: they make the atmosphere much more comfortable.

This is what a corridor in an advanced five-room apartment might look like. The combination of light gray walls and bright green accents looks very good. The floor is also brilliantly decorated. But the main decoration of the interior is the original ceiling. Thanks to him, the whole composition will be perceived more attractively.

And here is a view of the large kitchen area in the same apartment. Bright yellow chairs work well here. And the decoration of one of the walls under a dark natural stone is appropriate. The stylistic unity of the premises is emphasized by the execution of the floor. Framing the entrance with a discreet ornament completes the business.

Here they used an original solution: a wall-mounted TV is surrounded by a storage area. Everything together is located in some kind of niche. The chandelier has an emphatically antique look painted in a rich black color. In general, discreet, but well-remembered, tones are used everywhere.
