Review of shower devices "Rain" and their choice
The bathhouse is an important part of Russian culture. It has its own specific origins and traditions that have survived to this day. One of them is a cold douche right after the bath to strengthen the body and give the process an unusual sensation. For such cases, douche devices are located in the bath room, among which "Rain" can be distinguished.
general description
Pouring devices "Rain" are buckets for a bath with a specific design and method of operation. It is worth saying that this technology is patented, therefore such products are not just designated by a single name, but are the products of one manufacturer - VVD.
The structure itself is represented by a bucket made of stainless steel 1 mm thick. This material is good because it is not susceptible to corrosion, and is also lightweight, due to which it is easy to move and transport this device.
Control is carried out by means of a chain, which is activated after a person pulls it towards himself. The reverse action returns the bucket to its original position.
An important difference from similar products from other manufacturers is the presence of a divider. This part is necessary in order to improve the usability by evenly dispensing water. The design of the divider is a lattice with thin compartments. They allow cold water to flow from the bucket along its entire length. Thus, the human body is completely covered. The outflow is due to the work of three valves, which are controlled by a balancing mechanism.
As for the water supply system, it is provided by connecting the pouring device to the water main. The tank is filled through a G 1/2 inlet connection. Such a system is used in many household water connections, so the manufacturer found it reliable and simple at the same time. In addition, this makes the device quite versatile.
If we compare these products with the products of other manufacturers, then the VVD range has a number of advantages, due to which it is more preferable to purchase.
Variety of models
Downpour devices are subdivided according to their volume and dimensions. This is how they differ from other types of casings, since they can hold a lot of water, which ultimately allows them to fully cool after vaping. By the way, VVD has the most capacious products, as their volume is 36 and 50 liters, respectively. Classic devices and models "Kolobok" have a capacity of 15-20 liters, which is often not enough for sauna lovers. Naturally, dimensions are also important, since the bath room itself is small.
From this point of view, Rainfall devices are not entirely convenient, because 50-liter models have a height of 50 cm, and in fact they need to be installed above the average height of a person. It turns out that it is necessary to place these buckets at a height of 2-2.2 meters, that is, the bath should have fairly high ceilings, at least 2.5 meters. As for the less capacious 36-liter bucket, it is only 10 cm lower, so the problem with the possible dimensions of the bath itself remains relevant. If the consumer has a summer bath, then installation is much easier due to the open top of the structure.
If the ceilings in your room allow you to correctly place the VVD molding, then it will be the most preferred option due to its efficiency, reliability and volume of cold water. There are also differences depending on the appearance. The consumer is presented with several options, among which there is a choice. The cheapest device is the standard one with concealed installation without wooden frame. Outwardly, this product looks like an ordinary stainless steel bucket with a splitter. In this case, the weight of the device reaches 13 kg.
There are a total of three decorative bucket finishes available. The first option is light wood. It is used most often due to its texture, which, together with lighting, completely fits into the design. The second finish is mahogany, which looks aesthetically pleasing in saunas with a similar darkish appearance. A novelty is the third option - thermo. It has a yellowish tint and looks quite natural compared to regular wood. The very design of the finish consists of lamellas.
The decorative part significantly adds weight to the bucket, the indicator of which is 19 kg. The price also changes, which rises from 17 to 24 thousand rubles. It is worth paying attention to the fastening system, which is expressed in the form of special parts. They are wall / ceiling mounted and prevent the bucket from tipping over, which is often the case with other companies' pouring devices. The product, fixed on 6 self-tapping screws, will hold tightly and securely. If even one of the people in the bathhouse touches the bucket, then nothing serious will happen to its design.
Operating tips
Initially, the manufacturer recommends to correctly determine the installation site based on consumer preferences, as well as permissible height standards. Do not forget that the structure is supported by a bracket, which is 240 mm wide and 130 mm long. With this information in mind, you can attach the bucket. The width of the self-tapping screws must be at least 6 mm, otherwise the structure will be wobbly and unreliable. Then connect the device to the water supply system using a fitting.
Since it is made of plastic, tighten it tightly, but without kinking, otherwise this part will quickly fail. Install a shut-off valve in front of the sprinkler. When you open it, water will begin to flow into the tank and fill it only to the required value.
It is regulated by means of a float, which is very similar to the system that is installed in the toilet cistern. Then check the operation of the reset mechanism by pulling on the chain and bringing it to its original position.
After turning off the entire system, it should collect water and again stagnate at the position set by the float. The manufacturer gives a 12 month warranty. At the same time, it is forbidden to carry out independent full-fledged repairs, since in this case VVD is not responsible for the quality of the goods.
