Features of wide-grip universal cultivators
Cultivators of the KSHU series are used not only for soil cultivation in industrial farms, but also on private farms. With their help, it is possible to qualitatively prepare the soil for subsequent sowing operations or bring it into proper condition so that it “rests” under fallow.
A feature of wide-cut KShU cultivators is the ability to use them on any soils, except for stony ones. With their help, it is possible to carry out not only traditional, but also minimal tillage. It consists in leveling the microrelief.
Features, pros and cons
Wide-area cultivators have both advantages and disadvantages. Fortunately, there are very few downsides. These include the cost, as well as the inability to use this type of cultivator on stony soils.
Now let's take a closer look at the advantages of wide-cut cultivators.
- Since the load-bearing beams are made of 6cm square tube, you don't have to worry about bending or breaking. The beams pass through the technological holes, which also increases the reliability of the equipment.
- The S-posts are staggered and fairly far apart. Thanks to this, the cultivator is not clogged with weeds and debris during operation. The same feature allows you to process heavy soils or areas that are not properly prepared for cultivation using a wide-cut cultivator.
- In the construction of S-shaped racks, metal rods with a section of 45x12 mm or 65x12 mm are used, depending on the presence of a spring. This makes them even stronger.
- The rollers are not rigidly fixed, which allows the load to be redistributed depending on the terrain features. Because of this, the leveling is more even, and the large-format cultivator itself does not break down for longer and does not wear out.
- An improved adjustment mechanism is provided. This means that the depth of soil cultivation can be set extremely precisely, achieving optimal digging of the soil.
- In non-working condition, the dimensions of the wide-grip cultivator models are such that they can be freely transported on public roads.
In this case, you do not need to obtain a special permit, and escorting traffic police cars is also optional.
Varieties
Wide-grip models include:
- KSHU-6;
- KSHU-8;
- KSHU-12;
- KSHU-12N.
Their technical characteristics should be considered in more detail.
KSHU-6
The working width of this cultivator is 6.6 m. The working depth can vary from 6 to 12 cm. KShU-6 models are aggregated with tractors of traction classes 2 and 3. Such tractors include MacDon M, Varyag, Arion 410-410, John Deere 6B, Lamborghini R and some other models.
The working speed can reach 15 km / h, however, the average is 12 km / h. The mass of the cultivator together with the working bodies is 1832-1944 kg.
KSHU-8
The technical characteristics of the KSHU-8 cultivator are only slightly different from the KSHU-6 model. Here the working width is 8.2 m.
In an hour, this equipment manages to process from 6.7 to 9.6 hectares of area.
The weight of the model with a full set of working tools is 2207-2343 kg. The working depth, aggregation with tractors of certain classes and the working speed are the same as for KShU-6 - 6-12 cm, classes 2 and 3 and 12-15 km / h, respectively.
KSHU-12 and KSHU-12N
Models KSHU-12 and KSHU-12N differ from each other in the way of aggregation.The standard cultivator KSHU-12 is attached by the trailed method, like the other samples given above. When fixing KSHU-12N, the hinged method is used. This means that in this case, a hitch is used, which is raised and lowered by means of a hydraulic cylinder.
In these cases, the working width is 12 m. In an hour, you can process 10-14.4 hectares of area. The mass of the KShU-12 cultivator in a complete set varies from 2790 to 2962 kg.
The model is aggregated with tractors of 3 traction class, which include wheeled "T-150K", "KhTZ-150K-09", "KhTZ-150K-09-25", Terrion ATM 3180 and tracked "T-150-05-09- 25-04 "," Agromash 90 "," T-74 "and others.
Equipment
KSHU cultivators can be equipped with a number of elements. Some of them are mandatory, and some are optional, the acquisition of which is not required, but greatly simplifies the process of carrying out agrotechnical measures.
Mandatory elements include:
- two-row spring harrow "KSHU. 20,000 ";
- tooth harrow "BZSS-1.0 G";
- rotary harrow "KSHU. 04.000 ";
- three-row spring harrow "KSHU. 22.000 ", its feature is the ability to adjust the ground pressure and angle of attack.
As additional devices can be used:
- loosening shares Wil-Rich, John Deere, "KPS-270 KSHU", surfacing with sormite, knife "KVO-24020" and others;
- universal lancet paws, for example, “KPE-3.8 (410 mm)” share;
- spring harrows "BGP", Bourgault 6000, "Kama-Shtrigel", "ZPG", "BGU-16-P Kuzbass".
The high performance of wide-cut cultivators, coupled with the ability to precisely set the required parameters, makes them one of the best adaptations for working with the topography of the soil and preparing it for the subsequent planting of seeds.
The relatively low weight and dimensions help to avoid transportation problems, which is also an important factor for small farms.
