Among the disadvantages of both natural and artificial stone, one can single out their price, low sound insulation and, of course, excessively high thermal conductivity. This floor heats up very easily in the summer and cools down too quickly in the winter. Another good and fairly common flooring option for a kitchen is laminate. It is quite wear-resistant and copes well with various loads, such as pressure or abrasion. Although laminate flooring requires preliminary leveling of the floor, it is quite simple to install itself. Its service life reaches 20 years, and this material can be laid even on old linoleum.

Among the disadvantages is its poor moisture tolerance, which is especially important for the kitchen floor. From constant contact with water, it can swell and crack, especially at the joints. If the floor is not well leveled, a squeak may occur, which also does not add to the joy of the apartment owners. Compared to linoleum or self-leveling floor, this material has a higher price.
