The style is characterized by rich and excessive decoration and splendor. Straight lines are difficult to see on a baroque bed. The decor is very complex and voluminous, consisting entirely of curls, stems and leaves. As well as for the Empire style, an abundance of gilding is characteristic.

It is the successor to the Baroque, but with less opulent decoration. It is characterized by smooth, curved lines, sophistication and sophistication.
