The drug "Fitoverm" - it is a modern insecticidal agent used to treat indoor, garden and garden plants from ticks and insect pests. The insecticide successfully copes with the task assigned to it, without causing harm to green spaces. Many positive reviews from gardeners and gardeners confirm this fact.

What it is?

The active ingredient in Fitoverm is aversectin, which belongs to to class 3 biological hazard... Depending on which pest insect is to be fought, according to the instructions, the concentration of the solution is also selected. On average, for the preparation of a working solution per 1000 ml of water, from 2 to 10 mg of the drug is used.

The substance aversectin causes a paralytic effect on insects, as a result of which their life ends 2-3 days after the drug is used. Insects are not resistant to frequent use, so the product can be used frequently. The period of complete disintegration of aversectin is short, getting into the soil, due to the low toxicity of the substance, it is not contaminated. The active substance does not accumulate in the fruits of horticultural crops and in the green mass of flower crops. The working solution is used in dry and warm weather from the beginning of spring until the formation of ovaries of fruit crops.

Unlike garden plants, Fitoverm for indoor plants can be used at any time of the year.

Most often it is used for spraying, while the duration of exposure to aversectin lasts 1-3 weeks, depending on the concentration of the solution used. After spraying Fitoverma the peak of its activity occurs on the 5-7th day.

How to breed?

Fitoverm is available in ampoules, vials and even cans. In order to process indoor flowers, it is enough to purchase the drug in a package of 2, 4 or 5 ml. The drug must be used correctly, observing all precautions:

  1. while spraying plants, it is required to use personal protective equipment for the organs of vision, respiration, skin;
  2. a freshly prepared solution should be used immediately, without leaving it for long-term storage;
  3. After working with Fitoverm, the spray gun should be thoroughly rinsed immediately, since the residues of the substance can quickly disable the spray gun.

Instructions for using the drug for treating domestic plants are as follows.

  1. A solution for processing a flower is prepared at the rate of 2 g of substance per 1000 ml of water.
  2. The water for preparing the solution is taken warm.
  3. Approximately 70-80% of water is poured into the container, and the remaining 20-30% is carefully, trying not to splash, add the preparation "Fitoverm" from the ampoule. In order to dilute it, stir the solution with a wooden stick.
  4. Then both parts are combined in one container, and the solution is ready for use. You need to use it within 2-3 hours.

In the process of preparing the solution, it is important to ensure that its concentrated part does not get on your exposed skin. If this happens, the skin is immediately washed with soap under running water.

If even the smallest portion of the solution is accidentally swallowed, it is necessary to urgently induce vomiting and rinse the stomach. Then you need to accept large quantities of activated carbon and seek urgent medical attention.

How to process?

Working solution "Fitoverma" can be used in combination with biological products that stimulate plant growth, provided that no sediment is formed when mixing the products... Indoor flowers are processed using a spray gun.

When treating indoor plants from spider mites, scale insects, thrips, whiteflies, aphids, the spraying process is recommended to be performed outdoors or on an open and ventilated balcony. In windy and cold weather, it is better not to carry out processing, choosing a dry and warm day. Usually, processing is performed 2-3 times with an interval of 7-10 days. The effect of the treatment is noticeable after 3 days.

When treating indoor plants affected by an invasion of pests, you need to spray all the flowers that were next to each other. This must be done as a preventive measure so that there is no recurrence of infection.

Processing is done on dry plants and is best done during the day.

Instructions for use for different colors

The effectiveness of the drug is influenced by the ambient temperature. For example, at an air temperature of 15 ° C, the effect of Fitoverma is only 30%, but it increases to 800% when the air is warmed up to 30 ° C. Therefore, manufacturers recommend using an insecticide in conditions when the air temperature is 20 ° C - this indicator is considered optimal and activates the action of aversectin. Plants are not only sprayed with a working solution, they can also be watered with Fitoverm. Watering will kill the insect larvae that they can deposit in the soil of the flowerpot.

The treatment of different types of domestic plants depends on the type of insect pests, and therefore this process has some peculiarities.

Violets

Usambara violets (Saintpaulia) are often attacked by an invasion of spider mites, aphids or thrips. If signs of damage are not noticed in time, the flower quickly dies. To treat this indoor flower, not the affected parts of it should be treated, but the entire plant. To ensure the elimination of harmful insects, the soil in the flower pot should be completely replaced. If this is impossible for some reason, the soil, as well as the plant itself, is treated with an insecticide solution. If during the period of treatment with "Fitoverm" the formation of flower stalks occurs in violets, they will have to be removed.

The working solution for processing the uzambara violets is prepared at the rate of 1000 ml of water and 2 ml of Fitoverma. To enhance the effect of the active substance of the insecticide, a few drops of liquid soap or the preparation "Solvet-Gold" are added to this composition, which helps the solution to stay on the surface of the leaves and not roll off them.

The violet should be sprayed generously on the outside and inside of the leaves. To achieve a positive result, at least 3 treatments are carried out. Each cycle is performed 3 times a day. The interval between such sprays is 4-5 days.

The treated plant is removed for several days in a dark place, where it is warm and there are no drafts. If this is not done, then dark spots will appear on the leaves of Saintpaulia.

Orchids

Before processing this plant, it is removed from the pot and the roots are thoroughly shaken off the ground, and then they are washed in a warm, but weak solution of Fitoverma, prepared when dissolving 1 ml of the product in 1 liter of water... The pot is treated with a disinfectant or replaced with a new one. Then, having prepared a working solution (2 ml / 1 l), the leaves and the stem of the plant are sprayed with it. After processing, the orchid should be placed on a dry pallet and covered with plastic wrap. The pallet is removed to a dark place. A day later, the plant is planted in new soil.

Watering the plant after treatment with an insecticide begins only after 5 days, and re-spraying is done only after 7-10 days. In total, 3 processing cycles are done to get rid of orchids from pests. But 2 subsequent treatments are performed not by spraying, but by watering the soil in which the flower is planted.

Ficus

Large-leaved rubbery ficuses are quite often attacked by the scale insect, which manifests itself as yellow or rusty-brown spots on the leaves. Before treatment with Fitoverm leaves are completely removed or cleaned of insects using a brush... You can wash the leaf plates from the scabbard with a solution of tobacco dust, after which the leaves need to be dried. To treat a plant in a spray bottle, the mode of the finest dispersion is selected. The working solution is prepared by dissolving 2 ml of the drug in 1000 ml of water. A few drops of liquid soap are added to the composition so that the product does not drip from the surface of the leaves. The number of treatments should be at least 4-5, the interval between them should be 4-5 days.

If the ficus is infected with thrips, then the concentration of the working solution must be stronger to destroy them. For this purpose, 5 ml of Fitoverma is dissolved in 500 ml of water. If the lesion is too abundant, then 300 ml of water can be taken. When spraying, not only the leaf plates are treated on both sides, but also the soil in the pot. One day after treatment, the ficus is washed with running water. In total, such spraying is carried out at least 2-3 times, and the interval between them is made for 14 days.

Lilies

Indoor lilies can be affected by thrips, spider mites, or aphids. Depending on the type of insect pest, the concentration of the Fitoverma working solution is also selected:

  • to combat spider mites, dissolve 4 ml of the drug in 2000 ml of water;
  • aphids are effectively removed with a more concentrated composition - 4 ml / 1000 ml;
  • for the destruction of thrips, a solution of a lower concentration is prepared - 4 ml / 500 ml.

When handling lilies, it is important so that the drug falls on the entire surface of its leaf plates from all sides. The peak of Fitoverma's effectiveness occurs 7 days after spraying. Reprocessing of the plant is performed after 3 weeks. To prevent the insecticide from dripping from smooth sheet plates, add liquid soap or Solvet-Gold to the working solution.

Preventive spraying of indoor plants is recommended 4 times a year. It is especially important to do this before the onset of autumn and spring, when the air humidity rises and the central heating is turned off.

Fitoverm is an effective drug, after which indoor flowers can be fed with fertilizers, growth stimulants and, if necessary, treated with fungicides on the third day. However, manufacturers warn that it is undesirable to combine this insecticide with substances containing alkali.
