In order to save domestic representatives of the flora, it is worth using insecticidal agents. The effective means of the new generation include "Aktar", the positive effect of which has already been appreciated by many growers.
Description
"Aktara" for indoor plants is a fast-acting insecticide with an enteric effect. This neonicotinoid is produced by Swiss specialists. This remedy is recommended for the treatment of indoor vegetation due to its ability to protect crops from a large number of dangerous pests.
The substance can be produced both in suspension and in instant granules. The latter are packaged in packages of 4 g each.
The bags are quite convenient to use when processing strawberries, violets, roses. "Aktara" is also sold in packaged form of 0.25 kg. Such a volume is considered convenient for processing a garden plot, farm or plantation with vegetation. The liquid substance is released in ampoules of 1.2 ml and vials of 9 ml.
The insecticide is capable of fighting many types of garden and vegetable parasitic insects. It contains substances that have a detrimental effect on pests.
Benefits of the drug:
- detrimental effect on more than 100 types of pests;
- high degree of absorption;
- quick effect - after an hour you can notice the effect of the drug on parasites;
- the ability to process plants in any weather and under any conditions;
- duration of exposure from 1 to 2 months;
- high percentage of resistance to extreme conditions;
- no accumulation effect that can harm crops;
- low consumption;
- the ability to process plants in various ways, for example, by spraying or watering.
The disadvantages of "Aktara" are considered to be the following features:
- harms wasps, bees, hornets;
- it is not recommended to store the insecticide in a diluted state;
- the drug should be alternated with other drugs for parasites.
What are they used for?
"Aktara" is used for spraying and watering potted vegetation, however, when etching, you should avoid getting the drug on the flower itself. This insecticide can be used if pests have appeared on the crop in the form of moths, aphids, soil flies, scale insects, thrips, whiteflies, and other insects that feed on plant tissues.
This drug has features that distinguish it favorably from analogues.
The purpose of "Aktara" is to improve the quality characteristics of foliage, fruits, eliminate insect pests, and protect crops from repeated attacks of parasites. It is difficult to do without this tool in gardening and agriculture. The instruction for the substance states that it is ineffective in relation to the elimination of spider mites, but consumers do not agree with this. In practice, it has been proven that with the initial defeat by these insects, "Aktara" shows a good result.
How to breed?
After purchasing an insecticide, the consumer should carefully read the instructions and strictly adhere to them. It is also worth remembering that "Aktara" in ampoules, as well as in another form in a high degree of concentration, is capable of causing irreparable harm to the culture.But too diluted a remedy is considered ineffective.
When treating flowers with an insecticide, you should adhere to the following recommendations:
- it is worth treating indoor vegetation only with a freshly prepared substance;
- the best time for the procedure is morning or evening;
- the culture that has just been treated with "Aktara" should not be in a draft;
- after processing, it is forbidden to irrigate the flowers with water for 24 hours;
- it is worth diluting the product with an exceptionally warm liquid.
Suspension
Suspension is considered the most suitable for spraying ground parts of plants: stems, leaves, shoots.
To prepare the product, you will need to collect the required volume of "Aktara" using a syringe, which is subsequently diluted with water.
The proportions are influenced by the type of parasite, as well as the variety of vegetation. For the treatment of indoor crops, a minimum concentration of the drug is required - 1 g of insecticide per 5 liters of liquid.
Granules
To prepare a means for eliminating pests from granules, it will be necessary to dilute the mother liquor. For this purpose, it is worth diluting 4 g of the drug in 1 liter of water. The flower grower should thoroughly mix the product until the granules are completely dissolved. The result should be a homogeneous liquid.
When preparing an insecticide, a slight sediment is allowed. After infusion, the solution is poured into another container. Next, add the required volume of water to it.
The next step is to re-mix the substance and use it as directed.
Store "Aktara" in a cool dry place without direct access to sunlight. The optimal air temperature for the normal preservation of the substance is considered to be from 13 to 30 degrees Celsius. The drug should not be placed near foodstuffs, medicines, as well as near the places where children and pets are located.
How to process flowers?
If you pickle potted plants according to the instructions for use, you can get rid of numerous pests. If it is necessary to spray the ground parts of the culture, the solution should be poured into a spray bottle. This event will greatly facilitate the procedure. The agent is sprayed on or near the plant, while avoiding direct contact with the flowers. Otherwise, burns, stains may form on them, and the culture will begin to fade.
When attacking pests, it is necessary to carefully process not only those areas where insects were noticed, but also the entire plant as a whole, with the exception of flowers. If the pest attacked the roots of the culture, then they should be watered with "Aktara". In this case, the insecticide is absorbed by the root system and spreads to all cells. In this case, the entire plant will be protected.
Watering with a liquid preparation should be carried out 3 days after irrigating the flower. For the same period of time, do not water the crop after treatment with insect repellent.
The processed representative of the flora is determined in a shaded place, where there is no draft and extreme temperature. Despite the resistance of "Aktara" to negative environmental conditions, one can notice a slight decrease in its effectiveness.
The effect of the insecticide can be seen 30-60 minutes after the treatment of indoor crops. Since pests feed on terrestrial parts of vegetation, poison enters their body with them. "Aktara" destroys the digestive tract of the parasite, suppressing its receptors and, as a result, the insect no longer wants to eat. As a result, the substance paralyzes the nerve endings of the parasite, which dies a day after poisoning.
Since this insecticide is a toxic substance, direct contact with it can harm humans. In order to avoid poisoning and burns of the mucous membrane, it is recommended to process the culture in a place where there are no people and animals.
While working, do not ignore the following precautions:
- in the process of processing vegetation, it is worth wearing special protective gloves;
- when processing a culture, one should not drink, eat, smoke, since the particles of the drug can get inside the human body, causing harm to it later;
- at the end of the procedure, you should thoroughly wash your hands.
In case of poisoning, experts recommend taking activated charcoal or another sorbent and drinking it with plenty of liquid. If the poisoning is severe, then you need to immediately call a doctor.
This type of insecticide is perfectly combined with growth regulators. It is often used together with Ribav-Ekstroy, Zircon, Epin. It is forbidden to use "Aktara" together with means of an alkaline nature.
Florists note the good results of "Aktara" in the elimination of pests of various types. This universal remedy can be used to process not only home flowers, but also fruit trees, berry bushes.
Aktara is considered a new generation insecticide, it is characterized by high efficiency rates and versatility in application. This multifunctional product should be diluted and used exclusively in accordance with the instructions. An inexpensive drug is considered quite toxic, therefore, if safety measures are not followed, it can harm humans and animals. When pests appear on your favorite indoor plants, you should immediately use "Aktara", thereby saving them from death.
