However, growing and caring for these types of strawberries requires the use of different types of fertilizers, while the plant is less durable. Ripening of strawberries is very extended in time on the territory of the country due to its huge area. Therefore, each region has its own timing for when the berry is fully ripe and ready to be harvested.In the Kuban, the first strawberry harvest begins in early May, thanks to the warm sunny weather. However, if the ripening period is characterized by rainy weather, then this is reflected in the quality of the berries. During rains, strawberries can begin to rot, their taste and presentation deteriorate.

The middle strip of the country is suitable for the cultivation of many varieties of strawberries. It is recommended to plant early varieties, while planting should be carried out approximately in the middle of summer, maximum in early September, otherwise the plant may not take root. In cold weather, all plantings must be covered using a covering non-woven material or regular film. The use of mineral and other types of fertilizers is also recommended. If you adhere to these rules, you can get a fairly bountiful harvest of delicious sweet berries. In the Moscow region, harvesting of cultivated strawberries usually begins in mid-June.

Therefore, on one bush, absolutely ripe berries and completely green ones can be found.

As with cultivated strawberry varieties, the ripening time is in direct proportion to the specific region where the berries grow. The further south the area is located, the earlier you can harvest. In warm sunny weather in the southern territories, you can go for strawberries at the end of May. But the best harvest can still be harvested in June. The climatic conditions in the Moscow region are excellent for the growth and maturation of strawberries. The very first ripe berries can be found in mid-June. However, in order to pick up a large number of berries, it is best to postpone the strawberry hunt until July. For the Moscow region, July is the main month for harvesting wild strawberry species. In the Ural forests, as well as in the forests of the Far East and Siberia, strawberries begin to ripen by the beginning of August and berries can be picked for several weeks. By this time, in other regions, this berry is already leaving. Berry bushes do not bear fruit for too long.In meadow and field strawberries, the fruiting period lasts about three weeks, in wild berries - a little more than a month.
