Early varieties of strawberries

Early varieties of strawberries allow you to feast on berries already at the very beginning of summer. Contrary to the fears of many summer residents, such varieties are quite productive.

It should be noted that there is no strict relationship between fruiting and budding. Even if ovaries appear late on some varieties, this is compensated by the accelerated development of berries. The kidneys will develop at about 15 degrees Celsius. The optimal duration of illumination is 8-10 hours. The strawberries will ripen in May.

In the southern regions of Russia, such varieties can be grown openly. In the middle lane, already protected ground is needed. Some of these varieties are highly cold-resistant. The taste is also quite decent. Mulching is very important to protect the roots.

It should be noted that early strawberry varieties also have weak points:

• insufficient pollination leads to a fuzzy shape of the fruits themselves;
• often heterogeneity of color;
• the need for active care.

But all these problems are more important for those who grow crops for sale.
