All about Greenline engineering board
Knowing everything about the Greenline engineered board is important even for those who are looking for completely different solutions for flooring. It is worth carefully studying what the reviews say, and opinions can change significantly. It is very important, however, to know how to select the specific suitable modification.
Peculiarities
The use of Greenline engineered flooring boards should be considered as a weighty alternative to parquet - and therefore the approach to its selection should be just as strict. Engineering grade planks differ from ordinary parquet boards by the increased thickness of the upper layer. They are much better adapted for use in the Russian climate and prove to be more reliable products. The glued design of the material provides a relatively low level of deformation even in difficult conditions. It should be borne in mind that the type of installation depends on the specific manufacturer, and in this sense it is not entirely correct to compare Greenline products with those of other companies.
It is also worth considering that:
- engineering boards are easy to restore;
- multiple cycling is allowed;
- a thin board can be used under a warm floor;
- it will be possible to level non-uniform floors;
- there are many types of engineering boards (by color and geometry);
- a decent level of sound insulation is achieved;
- products are relatively expensive;
- it is difficult to maintain the same surface design;
- laying an engineered board is not easy (it is better to trust this procedure to specialists);
- there are a lot of fakes, and you will have to carefully select the material;
- even high-quality products are of little use for kitchens.
The lineup
The Deluxe product line definitely deserves attention.... These are attractive two-layer boards that are joined on a tongue-and-groove basis. The thickness of the products is 15 or 18 mm. In this case, the thickness of the valuable layer will be 3.6 or 6.2 mm. Possible linear dimensions will be from 400 to 1200, 1500 or 1800 mm in length, 95, 125, 145, 165 and 185 mm in width.
The two-layer brushed Artclick Plus collection is also attractive. By default, 7 layers of UV varnish are used here. The collection includes the following decors:
- aged;
- stained;
- polar;
- smoky;
- white smoked.
The veneer is placed on a strong moisture-resistant plywood base. Thanks to the lock connection, installation is greatly facilitated. The coating lay-out time is comparatively short.
The four-sided bevel enhances the visual expression of the planks and emphasizes their naturalness. In addition, it helps to mask the inevitable defects that appear over time.
Artclick Pronto - no less delightful collection. Products of this type can be dismantled and reinstalled (if they were initially installed without glue). In both cases, the overall thickness will be 14 mm, and the thickness of the valuable layer will be 2 mm. But other sizes may differ slightly: 1200x130 and 1200x150 mm, respectively. The following colors are found:
- brindle;
- olive;
- amber;
- tobacco;
- ashy;
- pearl;
- Granada;
- Murano;
- Palermo;
- onyx.
As for the collection Power, then it is performed according to a three-layer scheme. The unique single-strip design fully reveals the unrivaled beauty of natural wood. The multi-layer construction guarantees stability in any situation. As in the previous cases, the UV varnish coating and the four-sided bevel have been skillfully used. Typical dimensions: 400-2100x (145, 165, 185) x16 (20) mm.
Both two-layer and three-layer constructions are found in the Lux collection. This selection is distinguished by the exclusivity of the decors. The surface has a matte sheen. The surface is very pleasant to touch. The colors are "Stockholm", "Kenya", "Andorra", "Havana", "Karelia" and other types.
How to choose?
Of course, when choosing an engineering board, you will have to carefully study all the reviews. It is desirable to evaluate products by the thickness of the decorative layer. It is necessary to carefully check the quality of the wood and its aesthetic characteristics. An important role is played by the type of moisture-resistant plywood in the load-bearing base. You should also evaluate:
- bonding quality;
- the presence of two or three layers (the second option is more reliable, but more expensive);
- length, width of the board;
- integration of products into the aesthetic concept of the interior.
Review overview
The Greenline engineering board has, we note, conflicting assessments. However, in general, positive statements dominate. Sometimes there are complaints about uneven staining. With skillful use, you can get an excellent floor covering. Walking on such an engineering board is easy and pleasant.
The brushed top layer creates a three-dimensional effect. Users note that with proper operation, the expected service life exceeds 30 years. In this case, strong wetting turns out to be critical.
A good appearance is created by using natural wood skirting boards. To find it, however, is very difficult.
