It should be borne in mind that The first mowing of a fresh lawn should be very gentle. Usually it is carried out at the moment when the greens reach a height of 12-14 cm. The cut is carried out up to about 7-10 cm.In the next few years, the grass can be mowed, leaving only about 5 cm, and in garden and park areas, experts often leave a lawn no more than 7 cm high. The first mowing is recommended in the middle or at the end of spring. Spring mowing is considered to be very beneficial for the appearance of the lawn.

As for the first mowing of a rolled lawn, it should be done 7-10 days after installation. However, it is believed that in hot weather, when the grass is not cut too short, it can be left on the site as mulch. But after any precipitation, it should still be removed.

The cut grass can be put into compost, and also green manure can be made from it - a type of garden fertilizer.
