Fixed (non-removable) polystyrene foam formwork for the foundation

Fixed formwork allows you to get a quick and high-quality result in monolithic construction.

During such construction work, polystyrene foam is used, which has grooves for installing fittings, as well as for laying communications. The free space between the slabs is poured with a concrete mixture. It is due to this that a monolithic structure comes out, characterized by increased strength.

Filling is carried out as follows:

• The depth of the trenches should reach the level of soil freezing. Lining the drainage layer of sand or gravel.
• Polystyrene foam modules are installed in trenches, after which jumpers are used to firmly connect them.
• The reinforcement is fixed in special grooves. Stands are made under it, which are needed for greater stability.
• The free space between the slabs is poured with a concrete mixture. Such formwork is called non-removable due to the fact that after the concrete has hardened, it is impossible to dismantle it.

• There is no need for special equipment such as a crane or other heavy equipment. Concrete can be pumped using a special pump.
• Installation is quick, little effort is required. Everything can be done independently without special training, having previously studied this topic.
• The ability to obtain such characteristics of concrete, in which there is no need for additional arrangement of thermal insulation.
• The surface will not be susceptible to mold and various types of fungi.
• Expanded polystyrene modules are not very expensive, especially when compared with other analogues. Using them, you can significantly save on construction.

The disadvantage of fixed ponipolystyrene formwork is that when it burns, it emits an asphyxiating poisonous gas that spreads very quickly throughout the house.
