A wide-angle lens is important because it allows you not to restrict the view of the face and figure of those who came, but makes it possible to see everything that is on the landing, on the staircase or in the local area.

An infrared LED and an autonomous (backup) power supply are very useful: even if attackers try to turn off the power supply or take advantage of a power failure, it will not be so easy for them to disrupt the operation of the video eye. You can communicate with visitors both through the handset and thanks to the built-in microphone and speaker, it is desirable that both of these modes can be used.

But the extremely high resolution and clarity of the picture are not needed, since they still do not add anything to the result. When assembling the video peephole with your own hands, you need to act as carefully and carefully as possible so that strong compression does not break the device. It is very difficult to install wireless video eyepieces and therefore it is advisable to entrust this work to professionals.
