Today, aerated concrete is a very popular building material. Dwellings of various configurations are often erected from it. Today we will consider in detail why aerated concrete houses need an armored belt and how to make it correctly.

What is an armopoyas

Before considering the features and nuances of the construction of a reinforced belt for an aerated concrete house, it is necessary to answer an important question - what is it. Armopoyas is otherwise called seismic belt or monolithic belt.

This component of the dwelling is a special design, which is aimed at solving two important tasks:

  • distribution of the load from structures located on top to the lower part of the building;
  • binding the entire plane on which the reinforcement is located into a single whole.

Loads can be distributed by a monolithic, concrete, and brick reinforced belt. Such structures can cope without problems even with impressive loads, for example, from heavy wall ceilings.

If you are building an armored belt for connecting the walls into one whole, then the concrete option will be the ideal solution.

Why is an aroma belt needed?

Many owners of private houses neglect the arrangement of a reinforced belt. However, such structures are very important for any constructions, including aerated concrete ones. Let us consider in detail why such a building detail is needed. One cannot but take into account the fact that blocks are building materials that are prone to cracking. Their fragility necessitates high-quality reinforcement in accordance with all GOSTs and SNiPs. Such fastening structures are equipped in different areas, depending on the specific construction project.

An important role in this case is played by the seismic resistance of the region in which the construction is carried out.

A robust belt-shaped reinforcement cage is installed in accordance with the floor level in order to evenly distribute vertical loads while working in tension. In the course of laying aerated concrete wall ceilings, 2 special longitudinally located grooves are created along the diameter of the metal bar. It is in this part that the fittings are installed (in two rows). A similar method of strengthening is usually applied to all rows. The seismic belt is also designed to protect fragile aerated concrete blocks from possible cracking.

In addition, such structures give integrity to the masonry of building materials.

In addition, a reinforced belt is needed to give additional stability to aerated concrete dwellings in the following conditions:

  • strong winds;
  • uneven shrinkage of the structure;
  • temperature jumps, which cannot be avoided during the change of seasons (this also applies to those drops that occur during the day);
  • subsidence of soil under the foundation.

It is worth considering the fact that during the construction of the roof truss structure, point excessive stress of the blocks can occur, which often leads to the formation of cracks and chips. The process of fixing the Mauerlat (beams) to the load-bearing floors with anchors / studs can also end with similar destruction.Armopoyas allows you to avoid such problems, therefore, its organization is mandatory when building houses from a gas block. A reinforced belt is also very important when using hanging rafter systems. In this case, the reinforcement acts as a reliable spacer, which distributes the loads from the roof structure to the entire block house.

Dimensions (edit)

Monolithic reinforcement is poured around the entire perimeter of the house. Its dimensional parameters directly depend on the width of the external and internal wall ceilings. The recommended height of such a structure is between 200 mm and 300 mm. As a rule, the width of the reinforced belt is slightly thinner than the wall. This parameter is necessary so that during the construction of the house there is a small gap for the installation of the insulation layer.

According to experienced craftsmen, extruded polystyrene foam is best suited for this, since it does an excellent job of thermal insulation of the home.

Variants

Currently, there are several variations of the reinforced belt. A structure using reinforcement is classic, although other materials are used in the construction of such structures.

With galvanized metal mesh

A similar construction is assembled from welded steel rods located in the same perpendicular position. The most reliable metal nets are rightfully recognized. However, such parts also have one serious drawback that must be taken into account: a special adhesive composition for fastening wall blocks provokes the formation of metal corrosion, which leads to the loss of most of the advantages of this type of reinforcement. In addition, the cross bars in the winter season act as "bridges" for the cold.

Due to these shortcomings, experts rarely advise installing a reinforcement with a galvanized metal mesh.

With basalt mesh

Such structures are assembled from basalt fiber rods. They are placed parallel to each other. In the knots at the joints, the rods are fixed with wire, clamps or a special adhesive. Such bonding options are responsible for the correct and even shape of individual cells. The main advantages of basalt mesh is that it does not undergo the harmful effects of corrosion, and also does not suffer in conditions of constant and sharp temperature changes. Such elements are characterized by minimal thermal conductivity, therefore they do not create cold "bridges", which are the case with steel meshes. The basalt mesh can also boast of the fact that it is capable of withstanding the significant impact of breaking loads (approximately 50 kN / m).

At the same time, it has a very modest weight, which facilitates the construction of such a reinforcement option.

With perforated metal mounting tape

This tape is a galvanized steel strip with holes along its entire length. To erect such a belt, it is enough to purchase a tape with dimensional parameters 16x1 mm. Reinforcement of the masonry in this situation does not require chipping the aerated concrete blocks by fastening them with self-tapping screws. As for the rest of the work, they are similar to simple reinforcement options. To give the structure additional strength characteristics, you can turn to the fastening of metal strips in pairs using steel wire. Of course, this option cannot boast of bending strength, as is the case with profiled fittings.

The advantages of such instances include:

  • significant savings in transportation issues, since the tape has a very modest size;
  • there is no need to make grooves (in this way, you can save on glue and the work itself in general).

With fiberglass reinforcement

In this case, fiberglass is the main raw material for reinforcement. A thread is spirally wound on it to guarantee a better and stronger adhesion to concrete.

Structures using fiberglass reinforcement are distinguished by the following features:

  • light weight in comparison with other options;
  • the minimum parameter of thermal conductivity, due to which the mesh does not create cold "bridges";
  • ease of installation due to the minimum number of joints.

Please note that when using the fiberglass version, you will not be able to build a rigid frame. For this reason, such reinforcement is not recommended for construction in seismic zones.

Also, reinforced belts differ in their types. Let's get to know them better.

Grillage

Such a belt is usually underground. It acts as a support for the walls of the tape-type foundation. This type of belt can be aimed at connecting the individual components of the foundation. Due to this, such a reinforcement can be considered a basement. The grillage is a belt that is responsible for strengthening the entire block house. The highest strength requirements are imposed on it. The grillage must be present under all load-bearing foundations of the building. This feature is the main difference between this structure and other varieties.

Basement unloading

A similar seismic belt is constructed after installation on the grillage of walls from the foundation blocks of a strip type. Its arrangement has nothing to do with the height of the foundation structure above the ground. When constructing such a component, it is necessary to take into account a number of important nuances. Install such a belt around the perimeter of external partitions only if you are using reinforced concrete slabs. The width of the reinforcement will depend on the subsequent stage of the block house insulation.

In the first case, this perimeter must correspond to the width of the wall, and in the second, the dimensional parameters of the insulation must be taken into account or strips of expanded polystyrene must be placed under the formwork before proceeding with the pouring. The frame for such a structure is not at all required. Here, a mesh of 12 mm reinforcement is enough. Reinforced belt waterproofing gaskets do not replace waterproofing work on the foundation itself. However, these elements must be present.

To prevent dampness and moisture from passing through the concrete, roofing material (waterproofing) must be laid in 2 layers.

Interfloor unloading

This design is designed to strengthen the enclosing elements, align the planes of the crown, and evenly distribute the loads coming from the floor slabs to the box of the block house. Moreover, the action of axial loads on the walls of the dwelling leads to the "divergence" of the floors - the interfloor belt is aimed at solving this problem.

Under-roof

This structure performs the following functions:

  • distributes the loads that come from the roof onto the rafter structure and enclosing elements;
  • allows you to fix the Mauerlat as securely as possible;
  • aligns the horizontal box of the building.

If there are inclined elements in the rafter system, then it is better not to neglect the installation of reinforcement under the roof on the load-bearing wall ceiling, since it is this base that acts as a support.

How to do it?

Do not think that the construction of reinforcement is the prerogative of only highly qualified and experienced craftsmen. In fact, it is possible to cope with the manufacture of such a structure without special knowledge and rich experience. It is only important to adhere to the guidance and not neglect any of the indicated stages of work to strengthen the aerated concrete masonry. Let's briefly consider the technology of manufacturing an armopoyas.

In the course of the device for reinforcing aerated concrete floors on the block, 2 strobes need to be done. They should be at a distance of 60 mm from the extreme sections. The grooves can be made with a chasing cutter. Any debris must be removed from the holes before installing the metal rods into the cavities. This can be done with a special hair dryer or brush. After that, construction glue is poured into the grooves, the frame is installed.The adhesive solution will protect the rods from corrosion and will also provide better adhesion of these parts to the blocks. If there are thin seams on the walls, then a special metal frame can be used.

For its installation, it is not necessary to chisel, as it is fixed with glue.

As for the reinforcement of window and door lintels, here most builders use a U-shaped block. It should be noted that the blocks that will become the lintel supports must also be reinforced by 900 mm on both sides of the openings. In advance, it is necessary to make structures of wood in the openings. It is on them that the U-blocks will rely. They must be installed so that the thicker side is outside. It is recommended to insulate the groove with a polystyrene foam plate, close the outer part of the blocks, and then install the frame. After that, you can proceed to filling the lintel with cement.

If reinforcement of a light roof is planned, then usually it is enough to do only in-line processing using two tapes. At the same time, the distance between the rafters is reduced for better distribution of loads. When working with a fairly heavy tiled roof, a few U-shaped blocks will come in handy. They are laid on pre-sawn and reinforced gas blocks.

It is recommended to fill the groove with thick concrete mortar.

Specialist recommendations

It is permissible to build load-bearing wall ceilings made of aerated concrete with a height of no more than 20 m, which corresponds to five floors. For self-supporting bases, a height of 30 m is allowed, which corresponds to 9 floors.

The reinforcement at the corners should run continuously - with a straight bar. Such a detail should be rounded in accordance with the strobes. If the reinforcing bar is in the corner, then it must be cut off.

If you use reinforcement to reinforce structures, it is recommended to use steel rods with a diameter of 8 mm and marking A3.

To make the grooves even, you can nail a board to the outer row of blocks. It will be used while cutting the required cavity.

Keep in mind that the most expensive of all the options is basalt mesh. However, its strength characteristics fully justify the high cost.

If we talk about mounting perforated tape, then you need to consider that in most hardware stores there is a product that has a thickness of 0.5-0.6 mm. Such elements cannot be used for reinforcement. You need to find a tape that is 1 mm thick. As a rule, such products are found in specialized retail outlets or online stores. Unfortunately, in the construction market we are accustomed to, such details are extremely rare.

Experts recommend making a belt for a one-story building in the middle of the wall, as well as at the top - under the roof. As for two-storey block houses, here the belt is erected under the overlap between the floors and the roof.

Do not forget that fiberglass reinforcement is not the most durable and reliable. It does not withstand fracture loads, despite the fact that this is one of the main tasks of reinforcing aerated concrete blocks.

The seismic belt is made only of ribbed rods. Concrete clings to their embossed ribs, and this has a positive effect on increasing the bearing characteristics of the structure. This type of belt is capable of stretching.

If you need to strengthen the basement-type armored belt, it is recommended to use thicker reinforcement or mount fewer cores for this. There is another solution - laying the mesh in two layers.

In the absence of a grillage, it makes no sense to make a basement belt. Inexperienced craftsmen who want to save money on the construction of a grillage are only strengthening the basement belt, using reinforcement with a large diameter. Some people believe that this supposedly increases the load-bearing capacity of the dwelling. In fact, these actions are unreasonable.

Reinforcement of openings must be done one row before the window.For example, if you are going to open it at the 1 m mark, then you need to subtract 25 cm. The result will be the reinforcement zone.

It is not necessary to add too much water to the concrete for pouring. This can lead to the fact that the composition is not very strong.

Many users are wondering whether vertical reinforcement of wall ceilings is necessary.

Yes, they turn to him, but rarely and only in such cases:

  • if there are heavy loads on the wall (lateral);
  • if aerated concrete with a low density is used (blocks are not of the highest quality);
  • in places where heavy-weight elements are supported on walls;
  • in the case of an angular connection of the joints of adjacent floors;
  • when strengthening small walls, as well as door / window openings;
  • during the construction of columns.
