All about diesel generators "Vepr"
The comfortable life of a modern person cannot be imagined without electricity. But centralized power supply is far from always available and can work intermittently. Therefore, when creating a backup power supply system, equipping a summer cottage or preparing for a trip to nature, it is worth considering the features and model range of Vepr diesel electric generators.
Peculiarities
The Vepr company was founded in Russia in 1996 and is engaged in the production of gasoline, gas and diesel electric generators for household and industrial use.
The production facilities of the company are located in Moscow, Kaluga and Germany.
The main differences between the Vepr diesel generators and analogues:
- reliable diesel engines with high efficiency from the world's leading manufacturers Yanmar (Japan) and Lombardini (Italy), thanks to which the generator works longer and more efficiently than cheaper Chinese models;
- modern production technologies and high quality components;
- safety - the company's products have all the certificates of quality and safety, including environmental ones, necessary for free sale in the Russian Federation;
- compact minimalistic design - the open design of most models makes them much easier and cheaper, and at the same time simplifies their maintenance;
- relatively low noise level - the maximum value of the sound amplitude during device operation is from 65 to 78 dB (that is, at the level of the sounds of a noisy street);
- medium price category - Russian devices will cost more than generators manufactured in China, but much cheaper than products from firms from Germany and the United States;
- wide service network and availability of spare parts - due to the Russian origin of the manufacturer, the repair of Vepr equipment will not be a problem in any of the regions of the Russian Federation.
Model overview
Currently, the Power Supply Systems company under the Vepr brand produces two main types of diesel generators.
Portable Devices
This category includes generators of the ADP series of open configuration, designed to organize power supply during country trips (for example, camping trips). The most popular ones are presented below.
- ADP 2.2-230 VYa-B is the lightest (48 kg) and cheapest option in the company's model range. It features a maximum power of 2.2 kW (current strength up to 8.7 A, single-phase voltage 230 V) and, thanks to a 12.5 liter tank, is able to work continuously for up to 12 hours. Equipped with recoil starter and Yanmar engine.
- ADP 5-230 VYa - a model with a maximum power of 5 kW (19.6 A, 230 V) and an operating time of up to 3 hours (5.5 l tank). Weight - 90 kg.
- ADP 5-230 VYa-B - modernization of the previous model, on which, due to the installation of a 12.5 liter tank, the time of continuous operation without refueling was increased to 7.4 hours.
- ADP 5-230 VYa-BS - differs from the previous version by the presence of an electric starter.
- ADP 6-230 VL-S is a generator with a Lombardini motor with a maximum power of 6 kW (230 V, 23.9 A). Weight - 123 kg, operating time without refueling - 2 hours. Equipped with an electric starter.
- ADP 6-230 VL-BS - modernization of the previous model with a 12.5 liter tank, due to which the operating time is increased to 5 hours.
- ADP 10-230 VL-BS - is characterized by increased power up to 10 kW with a mass of 153 kg.
- АДП 6,5 / 3,2-Т400 / 230 ВЯ-С - version with Yanmar engine and 2 operating modes - single-phase 230 V (power 7.2 kW) and three-phase 400 V (power 3.5 kW). Duration of work - up to 3 hours, weight 15 kg.
- ADP 6,5 / 3,2-T400 / 230 VYa-BS - differs from the previous model by increased operating time up to 7 hours.
- ADP 20-T400 VL-BS is a powerful (20 kW) generator with a Lombardini motor and 2 modes (230 V and 400 V).Weight - 237 kg, operating time up to 8 hours.
Stationary generators
This type includes mini-power plants of the ADA and ADS series, designed for stationary installation in country houses and backup power systems. The most common generators on the Russian market are:
- ADA 8.5-T400 RYA2 - three-phase (400 V) model of an open structure with a power of 8 kW and a mass of 227 kg with a tank with a volume of 36 liters;
- ADA 8-230 RL2 - single-phase (230 V) open generator with a power of 8 kW, a mass of 180 kg and a tank with a volume of 36 liters;
- ADS 16-230 RYA4 - closed household (230 V) version with a capacity of 13.6 kW (844 kg, 100 l);
- ADS 55-T400 RYA4 is a closed industrial model (400 V) with a power of kW, a mass of 1.2 tons and a tank of 100 liters.
How to choose?
To choose the right generator option, you need to consider the following factors.
- Portability. If you need a powerful and inexpensive generator for a summer residence, a country house or a backup power grid, it is worth purchasing stationary versions of the ADA and ADS series. If you plan to use the device outdoors, then it is better to give preference to compact lightweight models of the ADP line.
- Power. OThis parameter depends on the maximum load of consumers connected to the generator. For stable operation, it is advisable to estimate in advance the power of all electrical appliances that you are going to supply, and purchase a mini-power plant with a capacity that is twice the obtained value.
- Working voltage. For domestic purposes, single-phase generators with a voltage of 230 V are suitable, for industry you need to buy three-phase generators with a voltage of 400 V or combined options.
- Starter. Hand-started generators are cheaper than electric starting generators, but starting them can be physically demanding. For a backup or industrial power supply system, it is worth buying models with a remote start or an automatic turn-on system.
- Frame. Open models are simpler, cheaper, and cooler, while closed models are quieter and safer. In addition, enclosed generators are better protected from dust, water and accidental damage.
