For many people, it will be very interesting to know what can be done from the remains of a bar. There are many ideas for crafts from scraps of old 150x150 timber. You can, for example, make a wall out of saw cuts or resort to decorating the lamp with pieces of wooden beams.

How to make furniture?

During construction and renovation, there are often many residual pieces of wood left behind. Throwing them away or burning them in ovens, to put it mildly, is not very justified. It is quite possible to make various garden furniture. Important: before that, it is worth removing knots, protrusions and areas of the remaining bark with an ax. Subsequent work goes like this:

  • with a chainsaw, draw up the necessary geometric configuration of products and their parts;

  • connect the parts with glue and / or nails;

  • remove irregularities with a plane and a chisel;

  • grind the surface with sandpaper;

  • decorate the product with varnish so that the furniture is more beautiful and lasts longer.

If necessary, you can make on the same basis not only garden furniture, but also indoor summer cottage furniture:

  • lockers;

  • shelves;

  • bedside tables;

  • tables;

  • banquets.

How to arrange a track?

Forming a garden path from scraps - a very original and beautiful idea.

Attention: all fragments must be treated with protective mixtures in order for them to last longer.

Cuts should be taken with a minimum thickness of 0.1-0.15 m. Too thin are not reliable enough and can move involuntarily. Of course, all parts of the track should be the same in thickness, but the diameter may differ - this even allows you to create interesting design effects.

The necessary protection will be provided by:

  • drying oil;

  • bitumen;

  • copper sulfate.

The width of the garden path is adjusted to your liking. But doing it already 0.35 m is impractical - of course, except for the case when it is needed for training acrobats.

The depth of the trench for filling the drainage is 0.05-0.1 m more than the height of the timber. Crushed stone is scattered on a waterproofing film and leveled. They lay out the rest of the pillow, arrange the cuts in an arbitrary way - the imagination is limited only by the need to carefully sink the remnants of the timber into the sand and level them.

Making flower beds

Designers advise avoiding visual overload when preparing such flower beds. You should not get carried away with majestic decorative forms. You can make beds from wood in the form of a square, circle, oval, triangle. You can think about sophisticated curly, and about multi-tiered, and reminiscent of household items.

But for novice decorators, it is more correct to limit yourself to the simplest form of straight lines - however, even with such a requirement, there will be many options.

Tier structures are created in small areas. It is quite possible to just build flower boxes. Much more beautiful, in the opinion of many, a pyramid of flowers can look. However, chasing the number of tiers is stupid, you need to measure your desires and capabilities. A large flower bed with a large volume of soil and a lot of flowers must be made of good building material. Otherwise, there is a great risk of deformation of the walls.

The general rule is that the underground part should always be twice as large as the above-ground element. If the section of the flower garden is more than 4 m, it should be inclined or distinguished by a convexity. A compact flower bed with a diameter of less than 1 m should not have a slope. The easiest option is box from a bar. An alternative is an impromptu sandbox or a row of boxes of various sizes.

More craft ideas

A lamp made of wooden beams can easily be made by hand. For its manufacture, LED panels of various light temperatures are used. Fastening is carried out on mounting loops and carabiners. In a structure made of pressed or ordinary timber, channels are drilled for attaching LED panels. You can drill them with a Forstner drill.

It is useful not only to use the timber that remains, but also to burn it. Then the carbon deposits are cleaned out with a metal brush. The required decorative effect is also achieved with varnish. Screwing the mounting hinges into the beam will be easier if you use a wrench. The use of small pieces of timber allows you to complement the luminaire with expressive decorative projections.

You can also make a porch from an oak edged beam. The easiest option is a platform with several steps. In the attached version, a canopy, railings and balusters are also added. If there are a lot of remnants of the timber, you can even build a whole patio. A pile foundation is made for it; during the construction of handrails, reliability is increased due to the girth with corners.

Another possibility is wall decoration from saw cuts. It must be remembered that different wood species have different colors. Better to get by with one breed. Combining will require already known taste and decorating skills. Important: the fresher the cuts, the better.

Most often, it turns out to fix them on a special assembly glue. The base is pre-leveled and cleaned. Cuts can be attached to a tree using self-tapping screws. Sheets of plywood and drywall are sometimes used as a basis. Important: the base should be painted in the same color as the main face layer.
