Most often, dioecious nettle grows in summer cottages. This is a familiar plant that stings when touched. It's all about the villi located on the surface of the sheets. Nettle grows on fertile soils, especially loves lands that have not yet been cultivated.

If the nettle is very small, you do not need to remove it. After all, this weed is useful. It can be used to prepare a very effective green fertilizer for different crops, and put it on animal feed. Nettle foliage is often used to make aromatic tea and soup. However, all this is good if you have a couple of nettle bushes on the site. If there is a lot of it (and it grows in the shortest possible time), you need to take action. And that's why.

• Due to its rapid growth, the plant takes up almost all the useful space on the site. You will simply have nowhere to plant other crops.
• Nettle roots are very strong... They firmly cling to the ground and begin to draw out all the useful substances from it. It is 100% likely to oppress the cultures growing nearby.

• Mulching... If nettles appear regularly among cultivated plants, they can be mulched. Deprived of light, weeds will germinate much more slowly. And you can plant plants on sheltered ground using the strawberry seedling method, simply by cutting holes for them in size.

This is the name of drugs aimed at destroying harmful plants. But it is worth considering that it is better to use them if everything else has not worked. The fact is that herbicides have a far from safe composition, they will accumulate in the soil, and can also get on neighboring crops, destroying them. Many products are dangerous to human and animal health. But, despite this, their use is very effective, especially in the case of the following drugs.

• Magnum. This drug quickly penetrates into the tissues of the weeds and begins to act after a couple of hours. Protects the earth from the spread of vegetation for six months.
• "Deimos + Miura"... An excellent weed killer that can save the gardener from many problems. Penetrates deep into tissues, paralyzes all processes in them, completely inhibits the ability of the weed to reproduce. However, it does not begin to act immediately, but only after a few days.
• Roundup. This is one of the most harmless herbicides for humans, it is very often used for treatments on an industrial scale. Effectively fights grass, inhibits its growth. Almost does not accumulate in the soil.
• "Glyphos"... The drug allows you to get rid of not only nettles, but also other weeds in the garden. It has a wide spectrum of action, it starts working in a couple of days. After processing, you can sow any plants in the ground.
• "Tornado". A good remedy, famous for its ability to quickly penetrate the tissues of plants and move to the roots, completely destroying them. It is advisable to use it if the nettle has reached a height of 5 centimeters and acquired two leaves.

• Alcohol... Here you need 150 grams of vodka, which is dissolved in a bucket of water. The mixture is watered about a month before planting cultivated plants. The weeds will grow very quickly and can be weeded out immediately.

So that the nettle does not annoy at the summer cottage, you need to prevent its spread. Here are some rules to help you with this.

• Cover the ground near fences and buildings with dark covering material... Nettles often start growing right next to fences.
• If a plant is seen on the site, and you do not want it to remain there, you need to as soon as possible destroy it. Then the nettle will not have time to give seeds.
• Leftover nettles should not be left directly on the ground. They may well start growing again. Mowed nettles can be sent to feed, put in a compost pit if the seeds are not yet ripe, or used for another purpose.
