How to wash a Eurocube?

Eurocubes are often used in industry. Moreover, companies usually buy containers, use them for storage or transportation of some substance and resell them after 1-2 uses. At the same time, the module itself remains the same reliable and high quality. Summer residents use such euro cubes for storing diesel fuel, collecting rainwater, under a septic tank or for solving other household tasks. Attempts to save money lead to the fact that the container must first be washed from the remnants of the substance previously stored inside.

It is not as easy to wash a Eurocube from such a substance as it might seem. PVA glue forms flat spots on plastic. It is quite easy to remove them mechanically. It is enough to pry the edge with something sharp, and then pull. In doing so, it is important not to scratch the plastic.

It happens that it is simply impossible to do such work. In this case, sprinkle the glue spots with regular baking soda and rub lightly with a soft sponge. The abrasive will start to scratch the coating a little. The remains are removed with sticky tape.

Chemicals have to be used to remove residual solids. During cleansing, it is worth using protective equipment such as a mask, glasses, gloves, change of clothes. All work should be carried out outdoors or indoors with good ventilation.

The easiest way is to use simple acetone to rinse off the resin. An alternative would be a volatile solvent or a 5% varnish remover. In a finished form in hardware stores, they sell a VP6 wash, it is already ready for use. Some people use denatured alcohol, but it is more toxic.

There is also a folk method. In winter, you can leave the Eurocube on the street so that it freezes well. In this case, the resin can be removed mechanically. It is enough to pry it off and remove in layers. The method is the safest for health.

A cube container made of plastic cannot simply be burned through, here you have to act thinner. It will take a lot of water and dishwashing detergent. Some pre-fill the container with a soda solution. Then pour warm water and add a large amount of dish soap to remove grease. Leave the eurocube for a day.

The last stage of cleaning will be a high-quality rinsing with plenty of clean water. In this case, you can always check the result. Oil and diesel fuel will be visible in clear water. If the cleaning goes well, the smell and traces will disappear. If necessary, you can repeat the entire process.

At home, it is quite difficult to wash the eurocube from chemicals. The small hole does not allow for high-quality cleaning of the container from the inside. It is worth noting that the container after chemistry can not always be used. To begin with, it is worthwhile to understand whether the substance has eaten into the plastic.

A simple visual inspection is sufficient. If the walls have acquired a yellowish, reddish or grayish coating, then the situation is deplorable. It is impossible to use such a container even for watering plants. Plastic chemicals will release into the water and make it toxic.

It is quite easy to clean the barrel from dirt with your own hands.You can use soapy water and a brush or washcloth. Sometimes you can completely rinse the container or wash it with a hose. You can clean it yourself from greens like this.

1. Alkali treatment. For every 10 liters of volume, you will need 100 g of baking soda. Very little water is added to it so that a thick mixture is obtained. The container must be closed with a lid and left for a day. Later, the Eurocube is simply rinsed with plenty of water.
2. Salt and dish detergent. Not the easiest, but effective way to get rid of algae inside the container. For every 10 liters of volume, pour 2 tbsp. l. coarse salt and pour in the same amount of dishwashing liquid. Then you will have to chatter the Euro cube in a circular motion so that the components begin to foam.
3. Rinsing with pharmaceutical preparations. For every 10 liters, it is necessary to prepare a solution of 1 liter of water and 100 ml of peroxide. The resulting liquid is simply poured into a eurocube and left for several hours. It is important to close the lid. Over time, a chemical reaction will begin, as a result of which algae, dirt and other substances will simply dissolve. Then it remains only to rinse the container with plenty of clean water.

If it is possible to remove the remnants of stored substances, then the container can be used to collect rainwater, watering plants. When using harsh cleaning agents, it is important to use goggles, a respirator and gloves for protection.
