M300 concrete

M300 concrete is the most popular and common brand with a wide range of applications. Due to the density of this material, it is used when laying road beds and airfield pavements, bridges, foundations and much more.

Concrete is an artificial stone that contains water, cement, fine and coarse aggregates. It is difficult to imagine a construction site without this material. There is a misconception that this material is the same everywhere, has no varieties, is the same in characteristics and properties. In fact, this is not the case. There are many varieties and brands of this product, and in each specific case, you need to select the appropriate type. This is usually done using the generally accepted property of strength. It is designated by a capital letter M and a numerical value. The range of brands starts with M100 and ends with M500.

The composition of this concrete is similar to the grades located next to it.

• Components - cement, sand, water and crushed stone;
• Proportions: 1 kg of M400 cement accounts for 1.9 kg. sand and 3.7 kg of crushed stone. For 1 kg. cement M500 accounts for 2.4 kg. sand, 4.3 kg. rubble;
• Proportions based on volumes: 1 portion of M400 cement, sand - 1.7 portions, crushed stone - 3.2 portions. Or 1 portion of M500 cement, sand - 2.2 portions, crushed stone - 3.7 portions.
• Bulk composition for 1 liter. cement: 1.7 l. sand and 3.2 liters. rubble;
• Class - B22.5;
• On average, from 1 liter. cement comes out 4.1 liters. concrete;
• The density of the concrete mixture is 2415 kg / m3;
• Frost resistance - 300 F;
• Water resistance - 8 W;
• Workability - P2;
• Weight of 1 m3 - about 2.4 tons.

Applications:

Various types of aggregates are used for the manufacture of M300:

• gravel,
• limestone,
• granite.

To obtain a mixture of this brand, cement of the M400 or M500 type is used.

In order to end up with a high-quality product, it is necessary to strictly observe the technology of mixing the solution, use exclusively good-quality fillers and very accurately adhere to the specified proportions of all components.

Many amateur builders, trying to save money or on principle, do not purchase prepared concrete mixtures, but make them on their own. It is not difficult to make this building material on your own and does not require special skills.

In all cement solutions, the volume of water is selected as half of the amount of cement. Thus, a serving of water is 0.5.

It is very important to carefully mix the cement solution first, and then the concrete itself until a homogeneous mass. In this case, the prepared product will be of high quality and reliable.
