Projects of 3x4 gazebos for summer cottages
The dacha is not just a place where potatoes are planted. This is a cozy quiet corner away from the bustle of the city, where you can calmly drink fragrant tea, admire the beauty of the backyard, and sincerely talk. Therefore, arranging a place for conversation is a burning issue.
Arbor 3x4: features and types
There are many different options for the construction of gazebos: round, eight- and hexagonal, square and rectangular. Their shape can be different, just as the materials from which the structure is erected can be different: wood, metal, polycarbonate, lining and so on. Such a wide variability allows you to create an original architectural object even from a typical project. A gazebo 4 by 3 is a very common country building in this regard. Its dimensions can accommodate up to 20 people, while it does not take up such a large area.
The roof can give a special chic to the structure. It can be decorated in an oriental style, be double, or be flat, lean-to, built at a certain angle. In addition, even the simplest gable or hipped roof can be accent if it is covered, for example, with colored slate or original tiles.
The gazebo can be either closed or open, with removable windows and shutters, with blinds or curtains, lighting or even with a barbecue inside.
DIY wooden gazebo
Many developers offer ready-made gazebos 4x3, which is called "turnkey". But the construction of such a lightweight structure is within the power of a person who has performed any construction work at least once in his life. To build a simple gazebo in your country house, a lot of specialized knowledge is not required.
The first stage of construction is a draft of the future structure. Simple drawings of a rectangular building indicating the dimensions and locations of the support beams, windows, doors. The finished sketch drawing will save you from unnecessary spending on building materials, because it will be possible to calculate the required amount using it.
This is followed by the construction of the foundation. Since the gazebo is a lightweight (by weight) construction, it does not require a capital base. A strip or even block foundation will do. For a block foundation, it will be necessary to prepare 4 base blocks (for greater strength, reinforcement can be placed there) and up to 6 additional blocks for supports.
The foundation block is done as follows: the cement composition is poured into a square pit, into which either broken brick or other material was previously poured. If necessary, reinforcement bars are also fixed. When the cement has hardened, you need to take care of waterproofing.
The foundation is ready. You can proceed to the construction of the frame. First, the floor is designed: a "box" is made around the perimeter, transverse beams and logs are placed. Further, supports are erected and "walls" are constructed. The support beams are either fully or partially sheathed, leaving space for windows and doors.
For the installation of the floor, a special board or timber is usually used. They are attached to the base with nails.
Now, before proceeding to the next stage of construction, it is necessary to treat the wood with special protective compounds, cover it with several layers of varnish.
When the main box of the gazebo is assembled, you can go to the roof.As a rule, the roof is made gable, but no one forbids making it double, in an oriental style, or getting by with a gable version. One way or another, the technology will be reduced to the fact that the frame of the top is formed, and after that it is either sheathed or covered with roofing material.
The gazebo is ready. It remains only to clear it of construction debris. You can also add benches, chairs, a table, flowers for decor, hang curtains or blinds, conduct light (if evening gatherings are planned).
Pavilion 4x3 with barbecue
Many people cannot imagine their summer cottage rest without deliciously cooked meat. And a logical purchase for kebab lovers is a brazier or barbecue. These devices for frying can be both portable and stationary.
If rest is impossible without meat on coals, then you can place a country fireplace in a gazebo. The 4 by 3 pavilion has just a place for the installation of such equipment. Then the main area will be about 3x3. There is enough space to accommodate an average family and 2-4 guests.
When erecting a gazebo with a barbecue, it is worth considering several nuances:
- even at the design stage, the place of the future brazier, work surfaces for the cook (if any are planned) should be indicated on the drawing;
- when creating a drawing, it is worth considering that an open fire requires protection from wind and rain;
- highly desirable processing of wood with compounds that increase resistance to fire;
- it is also possible to use other materials for the construction of walls, for example, brick or polycarbonate.
When the gazebo is assembled, you can proceed to the construction of the barbecue, if you plan to build a brick or stone structure.
Gazebos made of metal, polycarbonate, brick
A garden gazebo made of wood is an option that will last for decades. But the wide choice of building materials does not limit builders only to wooden blanks. Gazebos made of other materials also look very impressive in the country landscape.
Metal structures, especially with the use of artistic forging, look original and amusing. Curls and flowing lines can repeat natural motifs and fit organically into the environment. The main disadvantage of such buildings comes to light in the heat. The metal heats up, and it becomes rather uncomfortable and stuffy to be in the gazebo.
Polycarbonate creates airspace, where you can see everything that is happening around. Such buildings are distinguished by good performance characteristics. They retain heat in cool weather and are shock and fire resistant. Due to their transparency, they let in a lot of light. And the use of orange polycarbonate gives an additional visual effect: warm light every day, even if it's cloudy outside.
Brick gazebos are reliable and solid. Such a structure will certainly serve for more than one decade. In combination with a polycarbonate roof, decorated with a semicircle, such a structure will become a real design and architectural find for the site.
Modern trends in construction are increasingly talking about the joint use of several types of materials: a polycarbonate roof, wooden base beams, lining, brick brazier. Each building material has its own advantages, and in combination with others, it becomes even better.
Interesting ideas
The construction of a gazebo in the country is not a whim, but a necessity, if you need a place to hide from the sun, sit quietly, take a break from the gardening struggle for the harvest. And what it will be - a simple roof on pillars or an exquisite semi-closed building with a barbecue - it is up to the owners of the dacha to decide. The main thing is that the gazebo will in any case become a decoration of the site, and at the same time it will still perform its practical function regularly for more than one year.
A typical project can look original if it is made in a certain style.
- Russian style Is a tree, in particular, log buildings. Naturalness and aesthetics are the main distinguishing features of this trend.
- Alpine (Chalet) style - stone and wood, a gray-brown scale appears in it. Solidity and closeness to nature.
- Canadian style - clear lines, simple materials (wood, stone, glass), even some cubism.
- East style - calmness and serenity are inherent in such a current, and also - double roof-boats.
- Modern style (such as hi-tech). Metal or polycarbonate will just perfectly fit into the design direction. And also - this is a field for real experiments with form. For example, you can make a round roof.
Even one unpretentious, at first glance, detail can make the gazebo bright and unique: round windows or doorways, laconic curtains, pretty pots with flowers and much more. The main thing is not to be afraid to embody your ideas and ideas, to adjust the design of the gazebo for yourself and to your liking.
