Installation of equipment for the pool

A modern pool is not just a huge bowl of water, but a whole complex of specialized equipment for supplying, circulating, heating and purifying liquid. Additional equipment is also required, such as lighting or dust protection. Comfort and safety are guaranteed by special slides, ladders, rubber coating. Depending on the design, the installation of a piece of equipment for the pool can be done with your own hands, the main thing is to draw up a connection diagram, carry out the work correctly and select materials and installations.

A complete list of equipment, as well as its technical indicators, power or types of models depend on the individual conditions of installation, the type of structure itself - whether it is an outdoor pool or indoors. However, for the correct and comfortable arrangement of a modern pool, such equipment is imperative.

1. Construction or water bowl. An inexpensive option for outdoor placement is a polypropylene bowl, a pool made of composite materials or plastic. More expensive, but reliable and durable concrete structure, finished with tiles. In the premises, it is recommended to equip only concrete or stone pools, since in case of an accidental leak, a plastic pool will cause significant damage to the house.
2. Units for collection and circulation of water. The liquid is pumped into the bowl with special pumps; installations will also be required for draining, pumping out water when it is replaced. The power of the devices is selected not only according to the size of the future pool, but also depending on the expected frequency of its use, the water pressure in the pipeline system.
3. Cleaning and preparatory equipment. In all modern pools, special filtering equipment is installed - especially in street structures, where water is supplied not from a central pipeline, but from a well. This will secure rest, prevent blockages and extend the life of other supporting equipment - heating devices, pumps.
4. Liquid heating units... They will be required primarily for indoor pools - outdoors in summer, the water is heated by the sun's rays. It is possible to create a heating system for only a part of the water volume, when zoning the pool thicket, for example, separating a part with a shallow depth for children.

Deeper water purification will be provided by ozonation complexes and chemical agents, and a tarpaulin cover fixed on an automatic frame will protect from street dust and leaves. It is convenient to remove dirt from the walls of the pool without the need to drain the water with a special vacuum cleaner.

The installation diagram of equipment for the pool is drawn up at the planning stage, marking the territory. The elements of the equipment must be installed in a certain order - some of the equipment and communications are laid before the installation of a reinforced concrete or plastic bowl for water. The detailed connection diagram will depend on the design features of the pool, installation conditions, but there are mandatory rules for its preparation.

• Layout of pipeline elements... The elements of the pipeline system (water supply and discharge) are laid before the concrete is poured. Special niches or gutters are dug out and equipped under the pipes, which, after the installation of communications, are poured with a special solution of cement with plasticizers. The pipeline system is brought out to a separate technical room.
• Installation of equipment in a technical utility room. Such utility rooms are often called pumping rooms, but, in addition to water supply units, disinfection, filtering equipment, water heating devices, equipment for slides, water attractions, fountains are also installed here.
• Electric installation work. After installing the equipment and installing communications, it is necessary to connect it to the electrical network, it is important that all possible parts are grounded. All equipment must be connected through separate circuit breakers - you need to lay its own cable for each unit, plan the placement of the shield for all equipment.
• Commissioning, testing of mechanisms. At the first start, both electrical equipment and elements of the communication system are tested and checked for possible leaks, blockages. The functioning of the pumping and filtering equipment is checked, their parameters are regulated and adjusted.

Special technical requirements are imposed not only on the structure itself, but also on the installation room, the utility room. In the technical room, it is required to provide an emergency water drainage system - a pit with a submersible pump, the floor slope to which will be from 1-2%. The room with the pool must be equipped with ventilation and be heated. The recommended temperature is from +5 to +35 degrees, the humidity level is 60-65%. Cable cross-section for units and equipment - from 2x0.75 mm. A shut-off valve and an exhaust manifold must be provided at the end of the water supply line.
